I visited this during pandemic times so information is changing everyday.

I like to visit beach clubs with nice pools, especially when I checkout early and get a late afternoon flight.

I contacted the whatsapp number they show on the app and they gave me information about schedule, prices and access. Also they said that because of the pandemic I must bring my own towel.

Good points.

The pool is awesome and the music goes from house to hip hop to reaggeton, early morning they play it on the speakers and afternoon there's a live dj. It was nice.

Service: From the moment I contacted them through WhatsApp they provided all information and we're very clear. They rent the umbrella in 2000 MXN (about a hundred dollars) per couple and you have a credit of 1400 MXN on food and drinks during your stay. Considering that, that is the same price you pay for an outdoor umbrella is just okay.

I informed them that I was traveling solo and they agreed to rent me one for half of the price but they mentioned that if the thing l got little crowded "I might had to share" in the end it didn't happen. So I paid the fee went back to take a shower and pack and got back right after.

When I got back a very rude guy asked me "Where are you going?" - To the pool I replied and he was very eager to not let me in until the nice hostess arrived and I was allowed to enter (Thanks to this staff I'm not giving 5 star rate).

I arrived like at 10:30 am and not even one waiter arrived until I requested for one around 11:15.

The pool is superb and I had the chance to take nice pictures since it was empty for 2 hours.

Food is normal, is not delicious, is nothing that will be remembered but is not ugly. I have been reading others travelers' reviews and reading very negative comments.

I have also been reading complaints about the take over of the "public" beach. Guys common sense here airspace is public and you still pay your phone carrier or airline service to take advantage of the space.

Another good thing is that children are not allowed so you really enjoy yourself in the crystal waters of the Caribbean and the pool.

I'm posting some screenshots of the menu.

My overall experience was nice except for this guy at the entrance but is a minor issue. Once I got a waiter he was very attentive, I spent like 900 MXN in 1 Ceviche, 3 beers with a mix of sauces (Ojo rojo) and tip the waiter 200 and 20 to the luggage storage guy.

Is not cheap but is not expensive I thing is worth the money.

Enjoy.

The beach itself and the staff were great when I came to Mamita's Beach club. most people were able to engage with me even if they did not know english well. the restaurant was very nice, next to the water but I thought it was pretty mediocre food compared to the food we had eaten the past few days. we got a quesadilla and steamed yuca with garlic oil which tasted good but i was a little unimpressed. the beach itself is pretty nice but my griflriend and I felt silly sitting in our chairs and umbrella that we paid for with waiter service while 10 feet away people on the public beach seemed to have a better deal (free entry, bring your own drinks and food). on the main beach, we could kind of hear the music from the club area but to be honest, the music being played by the people on nthe public beach was louder and sounded better anyway. I was also under the imrpessionn that we would get access to the daybeds with the regular ticket but we only got access to the chairs which was a little disappointing and by that time it was a little late to just upgrade. the waiter was very nice and service was pretty efficient but I was a little underwhelmed by the experience.

we did go in january during covid so it is hard to compare to when there are a lot of people around but I think next time I would just rent an umbrella and chairs from the people on the beach and bring my own stuff.

My friends and I received free entry, beach chairs, and 15% off at Mamita's Beach Club as a perk for booking our airport transfer with Cancun Shuttle. We spent 2.5 hours there but I would recommend at least 4 hours.

The beach club is nice, clean, and has a great view. The ocean water was clear and warm but there was a slight (sulphur like?) smell. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and there were a good amount of people on the beach but I wouldn't say crowded. We easily found lounge chairs with umbrellas, and you will have to rent towels if you don't bring your own. The restaurant was busier, service was a little slow, and the food was underwhelming. I wish we could have ordered drinks on the beach.

Would I recommend? Yes, especially if you get free admission. Would I return? Maybe, but not before I explored the rest of the area.

Very bad service , very small portions we felt rushed to eat and were supposed to get 15% off. The prices are so high and don't think they even had the percentage off the bill. Dishes taken away quickly and they were very demanding on a 15% tip with the terrible service. Never again would not recommend. Outside restaurants way better not demanding and curtious way better places to go. Beach area was only beautiful.thing we liked.

Wanted to spend the day on the beach. Mamitas solved the perfectly. For 1000 pesos we got two sunbeds, umbrella, burger and fries twice in restaurant, and 3 corona. Excellent WiFi on beach too. Staff very friendly and super service. Beach is nice and the sea is lovely. Can’t be beaten. Just Perfect.

the beach is very nice and clean.
The service in the restaurant and on the beach is excellent, the food is very tasty the staff is very attentive.
With the exception of the older woman at the reception she does not speak English well and is not friendly when we arrived we did not understand anything and we were leaving but a very friendly young lady in a black uniform gave us clearer information and we stayed for the day

This place is so poorly run. It says online “beach club with DJ”. The DJ is by the pool. I got my wristband (for 1000 pesos) and headed towards the DJ. Apparently you need a different wristband to go to the pool which they did not inform me of at check in. After more confusion and wandering around, I was seated at the beach. You get 700 pesos in credit. I didn’t see my waiter for at least half an hour. He comes over and asks what I want to eat and drink. I say tacos and a drink. He says tacos are only at the restaurant. I say ok then, nachos. Miscommunication - I end up with both of them and have to head to the restaurant. I don’t see him for another hour and I’m ready to use the last of my credit and leave.

The nachos were delicious (hence 2 stars instead of 1) but the tacos were 3 tiny pieces of steak on a tortilla for 350 pesos. Save your money - this is a poorly run terrible place to go.

Relaxing day on the beach. Friend and I were looking for a spot to rent chairs and an umbrella and Mamitas didn't disappoint. We weren't by the pool, so we could hear the DJ and not be deafened by him. The prices weren't unreasonable, we had an attentive waiter even though it was busy. The other staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach itself...was just ok. The water isn't clear, and it was a "moderate" seaweed day. Unfortunately, a lot of the beaches on the Riviera Maya are plagued with seaweed. But if you are going to the beach and want shade and a bucket of brews, you can do worse than Mamitas.

Pleasant location on the beach. Prices have gone up since other reviews - I think they were asking 1000 pesos $50 per person for the day to sit on the beach in their chairs or $2000 to sit at the pool. Sounds like you work away at some of that with food / bev purchases. I ate at restaurant instead. The ceviche was pretty good and 230 pesos ($12) and beer 55 pesos so I got my moneys worth including a nice view for a bit. But yes you don't need to pay this to enjoy the beach.

The beach club is a hot spot. If you go during the week like we did, it will not be as crowded. Later in the evenings they have a live DJ but we went during the afternoon to get a good spot. Our club access cane with chairs and an umbrella. The service was good until it was time to pay. We ordered small plates like Yuca fries and drink’s mostly. The menu is overpriced so we didn’t get too much. The coconut water is fresh and served in an actual coconut. Once you are done they break it open for you so you can eat it. Pretty cool. Most places in the Caribbean don’t do that automatically for you. Food comes out hot but watch for the drinks with liquor, they will not be strong at all. It will taste like mixers mostly so a shot might be your best bet. We brought water and other beverages with us so we didn’t have to order a lot. Otherwise it was as expected and fairly quiet for a summer day.
