I did ocean as well as Cenote dives over a period of 2.5 weeks with DivePoint Mexico and couldn't be happier.
I found Christine through the Girls that Scuba Facebook page and contacted her online. She provided very detailed and useful information through WhatsApp and Email and tailored a unique offer around my wishes.
When I arrived in Mexico she even helped me organize an airport transfer.
I did my ocean dives around Playa and Cozumel with her fellow instructors Eduardo and Liz, who I got to meet as super fun, knowledgeable and safety concerned guides.
Eventually I did my side mount course as well as some fun dives in the Cenotes with Christine, who is a very experienced and knowledgable instructor. She definitely went out of her way to teach us more than the bare minimum and also to make the diving holiday as smooth as possible. From last minute changes in my schedule to gear storage and hotel pick up/drop off on diving days Christine left me with nothing to worry about and being able to enjoy my holiday to the fullest.
10/10 highly recommend diving with DivePoint Mexico.
an extra plus for all instructors being very environmentally aware and picking up trash underwater, whenever we found any.

My family and I just completed a week of diving with DivePoint. I was met with nothing but thorough, thoughtful, and friendly professionalism from beginning to end! DivePoint offers very individual approach to everything that is unmatched.
I was traveling with my partner and my teenaged niece for this particular trip. My partner and I are both divemasters at home (California) and have traveled to Playa and dove with other shops several times over the last few years. I didn’t want to be herded together with other groups because my niece was not OW certified yet. She had struggled with equalizing before and was unable to complete her OW on prior attempts in cold water and we were hoping that warm water diving would be less stressful and hopefully produce a different result. We knew she would need more patience to descend and equalize and I didn’t want her to feel the pressure of having to keep up with a group.
I explained these issues to Christine when I contacted a few shops about my concerns. Christine was able to offer me options that fit our needs. We worked together to plan our dives and schedule. She answered all of my questions over the course of several weeks leading up to our trip and all expectations were delivered and exceeded when we arrived. All this before I paid anything at all.
My niece WAS able to accomplish her OW at casa cenote and then we dove for several days after. Christine was so kind and patient with my niece and made her feel 100% comfortable and safe. She loved the positive reinforcements she received everyday and boosted her confidence every step of the way. We felt so well supported and I am very grateful for it.
I loved that I was given so many options and that Divepoint was so flexible! After each day we would tell Christine where we wanted to go the next day and then we would it. We had the option of canceling if we wanted to with no issue if we did -we could decide as we went along what we were up for. When bad weather was on the horizon we adjusted the plan accordingly. Everything was very smooth, no hassles or gimmicks.
We found our home shop in Playa! You should give Divepoint a chance!

I went to Dos Ojos with Dive Point for Scuba Diving. The owner Christine communicated with me directly, and was extremely professional, fun, and safe! I felt really comfortable and safe diving in Cenotes for the first time, and we had a great lunch afterwards. Christine was very knowledgeable about the different cenotes in the area as well as a knowledgeable Cavern/Cave diver. I will definitely be using DivePoint Mexico again in the future. You can't go wrong! Additionally, the cenotes are absolutely beautiful! I would recommend going earlier in the morning if possible before a ton of other dive groups arrive. Many thanks!

We did the three day package of six dives with Dive Point and got the chance to dive with Christine, Paulina and Mara and all were excellent. We felt extremely safe and cared for on all our dives, and had thoughtful attention to our individual dive experiences. We dove in Playa, a Cenote and Cozumel and really appreciated the way they worked with us to accomodate changing circumstances for each of those dives. They were extremely communicative and kept us informed minute by minute. We also learned so much from Christine in particular who clearly has a deep love for this community, and diving and the natural environment that she shared with us along the way! We would unhesitatingly recommend Dive Point again to anyone who wants fun and safe experience with personalized attention.

Chrissy is by far the most excellent, patient and kind diving instructor out there.
The hubs and I spent many wonderful hours diving with her. She was with us right from the beginning, from when we first got our toes wet on a discovery scuba dive all the way through our open water PADI course and beyond. If we go diving it’s with her!!
Over the course of 6 months, she taught us everything we know, took away all of our fears, by being her calm, composed and professional self.
She managed to multiply the love and respect we feel for the great deep blue. She’s touched our lives forever.
Thank you for being wonderful. We miss and love you!

I learned about DivePoint from a friend who had a course booked with them. I decided to join on the course. We are both Diving Instructors.
Communication was easy and after a few messages I was already confident that I would have a good experience.
I signed up for two night dives, a sidemount course (it had been a long time since I did something new in diving) and obviously enjoyed the cenotes so much that I did an extra day of fun diving. If I had more time, I would have done so much more.
Not only is this operation small, very friendly and flexible, it’s also a well-oiled machine. Organization is important because of the distance to the dive sites, I knew I never had to worry about a thing missing. Christine went out of her way to always make sure we were happy and just took care of everything. She took extra time to teach us a lot more than the requirements. She even got my regs serviced for a ridiculous price. She cares a lot more about you loving your experience than making a buck.
For having worked in a few dive operations myself, it’s definitely the kind of place where you feel comfortable instantly and leave as a friend.
I can only recommend and will definitely be back.

My family and our close friends visited Playa del Carmen and planned to scuba dive with our very newly PADI certified kids (four kids in total ages 12 and 13). After reading other reviews about how great the Divepoint team was with kids we contacted them. Christine responded with hours and answered all of our questions! We booked a morning two tank dive and were promptly picked up right from our hotel and taken to the launch spot. We were greeted by our amazing dive team, Pierre and Paulina. They were wonderful! They were so incredibly patient with the kids and made sure every detail was taken care of. They took such time and care with all the kids so they felt comfortable in their gear and in the water. Even during the dive when some kids had trouble with their ears or mask, they were so patient and great with them. We ended up going on a second dive several days later. I would highly recommend Divepoint and will most definitely be booking with them again when we visit next time. I couldn’t have asked for a better dive experience for our kids.

I had the pleasure of scuba diving three days (one day each at the Playa reef, Cozumel, and Cenotes) organized by Christina at Divepoint. Everything - including the ride from the resort, the dive boats, the divemasters, Christina's personal attention including taking my gear and rinsing it out each day - was perfectly seamless. Every person involved was very nice, very professional, and is clearly dedicated to ensuring a safe, fun, and meaningful dive experience.

Chrissy of DivePoint Mexico is one of the best dive guides I've experienced, and I have dove while traveling A LOT. I dove with her for two weeks, in the Cenotes and on Cozumel. The Cenotes are life changing dives! Chrissy takes amazing care of her guests, handling gear, explaining in detail the dive profiles and protocols, accommodating scheduling requests, and offers a vast knowledge of the cave systems and local history and information. PLEASE do yourself a favor and dive with DivePoint Mexico while in Tulum or Playa Del Carmen. I can't wait to go back and do more diving with this company...and believe me, I will! Thank you Chrissy and Edu for all that you do! This was such a memorable trip!
