Great day. I would 100% recommend Paseo. We did Punta Laguna and Coba with our guide David. Everything was great; zero complaints. Guide: David was excellent. He texted us and we met him in the lobby of our resort. It was easy fun from there on out. David checked all the “worried mom” boxes: friendly, solid English, clean car, & safe driver. He was very knowledgeable on all the stuff we did and saw. Probably the most remarkable of all was that he was flexible, patient, and didn’t appear to be driven crazy by my 3 kids. Punta Laguna: Quality experience. The guides were friendly and fun. We saw lots of spider monkeys. For the zip line and the cenote they used up to date equipment (mostly Petzl). I didn’t see any sketchy or worn out gear in use. My youngest (age 8) wasn’t up for the zip line but everybody else loved it. The cenote was cool BUT… if you are a person of my size or a person who isn’t ready for a hard climb up a slippery rope/stick ladder, it’s probably not worth the effort. It’s not a huge cenote and there’s not much to it other than getting down, getting in the cold water, and climbing back out. With that said, they had gear for a big guy like me and they took safety seriously (2 ropes on me up and down) they had me the whole time but that ladder kicked my butt. My forearms burned out quickly and I think the guys on the ropes were afraid they were going to have to go get a winch. Note for the less adventurous: This is not Disneyland. It’s the jungle and you’re not hiking on sidewalks. It’s totally doable but it’s rustic. And…. the bathrooms are about like USFS vault toilets so they’re not for the faint of heart. Lunch: Grilled chicken, rice, tortillas, etc at a roadside restaurant. Very, VERY good chicken. Having lived in Mexico for a couple of years it was a very typical “real” Mexican meal. Coba: Great time. I’d say that Tulum and Chichen-itza are more picturesque but there was WAY more shade and fewer people at Coba. You can’t climb the pyramids anymore (I was bummed) but still very cool. It’s hot and there is a fair amount of walking so make sure you’ve got good shoes, water, and sunscreen.

He kept in touch. He responded quickly to the messages. He gave advice to the program, but he also solved what we wanted. We got a good driver and a good bus. He can help with everything and is always looking for solutions. I'm glad we chose him.

I would highly recommend Paseo Tours. We were recently staying in Costa Mujeres and due to our limited time on ground did not have multiple days to do multiple ruins. Other companies would not work with us. Enter Dimitri with Paseo Tours! He worked with us and got us scheduled on a private tour of both chichenitza and Ek Balam all on the same day. The price was very reasonable and the tour guide/driver David was out of this world! Skip the guys who come to your resort and call Paseo Tours. Ask for David and you will not regret it. P.S. A private tour is so worth it! No waiting on the crowds and being able to move about as you like. complete 5 star experience that I will use again and will recommend to anyone!

Amazing experience with local guide Jose! He has a history degree & impressive knowledge of the ruins. Jose picked us up from our hotel, got us to Chichen Itza as soon as they opened to avoid lines. Next we swam in a beautiful cenote with a waterfall & visited a traditional Spanish hacienda for a delicious regional lunch. Jose also made the best suggestions for what to order. Do the hibiscus juice! The cenote/restaurant wasn’t crowded with people. He knew how to time every thing just right. We stopped in a colonial town, saw a church & park. Then stopped at Ek Balam ruins. This was our favorite part! You can walk up to the top of the pyramid and get an impressive 360 degree view. We loved that you could look inside the structures & it wasn’t busy or touristy feeling. Jose took exceptional photos and videos of our family enjoying the activities and sent them to us. I would definitely book again, highly recommended highlight of our trip. We felt well taken care of. Thank you Jose. Easy too book through Celine who answered our questions.
