One of the best chefs around here. Options in healthy but extremely high quality food, with the plus of an excellent attitude in service and teaching abilities. As someone once said anyone can cook, but you will need a great teacher like Alex. Loved her!

My boyfriend and I spent a week exploring Playa and surrounding areas. We wanted to do a cooking class and came across this lovely lady on TripAdvisor. Although we gave chef Alex quite short notice, she was able to hook us up with a kitchen (seeing we didn't have one where we were staying) and fit us into her, presumably,... More

We hired Chef Alexandra Iserte, who collaborated on the magazine, "Gastronomica de Mexico" with Federico Lopez, a much respected Mexican chef that I saw video of working with Rick Bayless on Bayless' PBS show, "Mexico: One Dish At A Time" There are not enough wonderful words to describe how we all felt about our in-condo cooking class with Chef Alexandra.... Let me just say, Chef Alexandra's class was so much fun and she is a blast! She should have her own cooking show alongside some of the other famous chefs. We were in Puerto Morelos, Mexico (Cancun) at the Now Sapphire resort for Closer to the Sun music festival. We took this cooking class and made a beef chimole which... More

I was at a music festival at a resort in Puerto Morelos Mexico. One of the activities I took part in was a cooking class with Chef Alexandra. I was glad I took the break away from pool and music. The class was fun and educational. We made a delicious Beef in Chimole and Margaritas. The pace of the class... More

Chef Alexandra provided private chef services for my 50th birthday and stocked our villa with food prior to our arrival. The ingredients used were fresh and her sauces were delishes. She was charming and added to the party atmosphere. I requested a special cake in the shape of a Tiffany box and she found a pastry chef that delivered not... More

On our honeymoon,... my husband and I decided to take a cooking class in Mexico. It was last minute, and we ended up cooking with a lovely couple in their home. I had a private cooking class with Chef Alexandra on the last day of my vacation near Playa del Carmen. Not only did she modify recipes to meet my dietary needs and preferences, but I feel like she taught me well enough that I will easily be able to make the recipes at home. Alexandra was professional but very friendly... More
