I was lucky enough to draw Diego as a tour guide. It was just me and him on the tour. We drove to Chichen Itza, which is simply mindblowing. He was a great guide, very intelligent and noticing what I was interested in. We went to a Cenote and then to Valladolid. The whole trip was phenomenal and I would... More

During our recent vacation to Playa del Carmen we booked a tour of Chichén Itzá and Ek Balam with stops at the Ik Kil cenote and the town of Valladolid. Our guide held a PHD in archeology and was very passionate about Mayan history. He did an exceptional job in showing and explaining what the ruins we were seeing actually... More

We took 3 trips with Mayan Explorers. I really wanted to see the great sites, and they made it happen. We saw Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, Coba, Tulum, Muycil, and the amazing Sian Ka'an. And every trip had a stop at a beautiful cenote for swimming, great food, excellent safe drivers and vans with good seatbelts (safe vans don't always... More

Sept 28 my wife and I took the Chichen Itza, Valladolid and Ek Balam tour. Dr. Jaun was our host and guide. He is a very engaging man, with extensive knowledge of the Mayan history and culture who provided us with over and above information of these sites and the Mayan people. Without Jaun's insightful knowledge the trip would have... More

We joined the Mayan Experience Tour with our guide Salvador and driver Roberto. Both were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Roberto collected us on time at 7am before heading to our first stop - Ek Balm. This was a great stop and much quieter than similar locations. Salvador provided detailed commentary enroute and onsite, he clearly knows his... More

I had my wedding in playa del Carmen and we spent about a week there. I planned an excursion with the Mayans' Explorers so that the party could go out and explore/have fun off the resort. It total we had 16 people go on the excursion and I paid for half of them as a gift to my immediate family... More

Hello Kylee, Thank you very much for your review. I absolutely understand how you feel and we are very sorry that you had this experience. Unfortunately, it was our first time working with the horse ranch and things didn't go as planned. We switched horse providers because the last ones weren't taking proper care of the horses, and these new... More

Fantastic deal for an all day tour. We visited 4 locations and our tour guide Morosh gave us in depth stories and PhD insight that no other company's tour guide seemed to have. You could tell how passionate he was during our visit of these ancient pyramids, cave and old city. I saw no disadvantage to this trip. We got... More

We went on their Mayan tour last Friday and our group was a total of 6 people which was great. Our guide was full of interesting knowledge and so friendly. The entire trip is an experience you will not forget! Their Whale Shark adventure is not done by them, they use a separate company to conduct this tour and that... More

Our tour included Chichén Itza, Ek Balam, ik kil cenote, and Villadolid. Our guide, Lorentino, was SO knowledgable - he should offer this information in a university course! Lorentino was a great guide - he had passion and knowledge. I felt privileged to be gaining information about the Mayans (and Mexico) from a native son. Lorentino was welcoming and I... More
