K&K Diving exceeded my loftiest expectations! I cannot imagine a better diving experience.
Although I was NAUI certified when I showed up for the first dive, my skills were rusty and Kim quickly put me at ease; her style as a dive instructor is the perfect marriage of confidence and approachability and she is consistently professional. She efficiently ran down a refresh and in short order I had no doubt that, despite her young appearance, she was a seasoned, highly experienced diver.
Once in the water, I was treated to by far the best diving experience I've ever had! A marine biologist, Kim holds two Masters' degrees (reflecting dissertations on whales and whale sharks, respectively), and a lifetime of experience researching and leading dives in exotic tropical outposts.
She seemed to know exactly which way to head to find the good stuff, and in the first 15 minutes or so, we saw puffers, parrotfish, huge rays... By the end of the next dive we'd added turtles, barracuda, and the largest moray I've ever seen! I immediately tacked on another day of diving knowing I simply couldn't pass up the incredible, affordable opportunity to get underwater again with such a great guide.
Unforgettable. K&K Diving is off-the-charts good! I'm already planning my next trip. :)

Kim was absolutely superb! No words good enough to describe how happy we were with our K&K experience.
We booked 2 PADI Open Water courses with K&K as the most important part of our two weeks Mexican vacation and it turned to be even more fabulous than we could have ever imagined.
As beginners in Scuba, we felt very safe and taken care of every step of this journey thanks to Kim and her skills. She was very professional, friendly, patient, knowledgable, and incredibly flexible with time to accommodate all of our needs. Having her as a private diving master with amazing marine biology background was such a luxury!
Thank you for taking such good care of us Kim! We can’t wait to be back to Playa and have more fun underwater with you!

As a first time diver, I got PADI open water certified with K&K and I am so glad my first diving experience was with them!!!
My friend and I were visiting Playa del Carmen from the US. As a two female travelers, we made our decision based on the fact that they are women-owned, knowledgeable and have good reviews. Planning with Kim was such a breeze. Kim was super communicative and informative. She was very accommodating and helped us figure out what we needed based on our skill level.
The actual dives were amazing, we got to experience the sea dives with Kim and the cenote dives with Kelly. As a marine biologist, Kim is very knowledgeable of all the marine life and I learned so much. Kelly specializes more on the cenotes and is also super knowledgeable, passionate and charismatic. Both of them made us feel comfortable and gave us lots of tips to improve our diving skills.
I'll definitely be back to dive with them again :-) thank you Kim and Kelly!!!

I found K&K through a blog and so glad I learned with them how to scuba! Kelly and Kim are an amazing team and exactly the type of teachers I was looking for. They are fun-loving but meticulous about helping you form good habits as a beginner diver. They were patient and kind and made sure I learned everything needed to safely dive and enjoy the experience. I highly recommend them to anyone either looking to learn how to dive for the first time or that wants to have a great dive in the open water or in a cenote.

Kim was AWESOME. We were a really big group and she was super flexible and accommodating helping us with our itinerary last minute. Her scuba guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The Cenotes were incredible - both for the divers and snorkelers. I can't recommend Kim and her services more!

Diving with Kim to get our PADI certification was one of the best decisions we could of made during our stay at Playa Del Carmen! Kim was helpful in preparing for our time with her, immediately responded to our questions and patiently went through the practical portion of training. Kim was a safe and patient trainer, as we had never dove before. She ensured that we were proficient in all maneuvers in and out of the water, from equipment set up to safety practices in the water.
Thank you Kim for your training! Cannot wait to visit & get in the water again!

I found K&K Diving when researching shark diving and excursions for a trip I to Riviera Maya I was planning for myself and two teenage sons. We decided to get PADI certified and they said they could certify us while we were there. Kelly picked us up from our resort and took us to beautiful beaches and cenotes for training, exercises and going over the theory. Kelly was very knowledgeable, experienced and extremely patient with not only me but with my kids. We were in good hands and she made sure every one of us was safe through every dive. She pushed us to the limit and was devoted to making sure the boys understood what they were doing and more importantly, why. Thanks to her we all passed and are now certified divers! I don’t think we would have been able to accomplish all that we did without her! I cannot thank her enough!
Also, if you are interested in diving but a little nervous about trying it, definitely go with K&K! I experienced some anxiety with an exercise while underwater and thank God for Kelly who kept me safe and helped me to calm down!! You have Nothing to fear with such experts at your side!

This was such an amazing experience! I can’t recommend K&K Diving enough! It was my first time diving ever and I was extremely nervous. Kelly was so incredibly patient with me and was a great teacher. She could anticipate when I needed a bit more coaching and also gave me confidence in what I was doing. I felt safe the whole time and now love diving. Getting to and from the dive site was so easy and she handled everything so well. If you have gone diving before or if it is your first time ever this is the company to do it with!

I did the bull shark dive with Kim and 2 cenotes with Kelly. They are both superb guides and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great dive. Being a small operator they have a personal level of service beyond what you get with the other dive centres in Playa. I especially liked the small groups and being paired with a similarly experienced buddy.
As an instructor I can say that everything was safe, professional and I had a fun time on both trips.

I was so happy that I booked with K&K diving for my stay in Playa Del Carmen. My husband and I did 4 days of diving: Cozumel, Bull Sharks, and 2 days of Cenotes. Kim and Kelly were both amazing. It is 100% worth it to go with a smaller company. They both provided so much personal attention. The experience never felt overwhelming and really allowed me to fully enjoy the dives. In general, if you are going to the Playa Del Carmen area I absolutely recommend that you dive as many cenotes as you can! It is out of this world. The bull shark dive was also an experience like no other.
