About
Founded 18 years ago, Pluto Dive is a diving institution on the Mayan Riviera. Founders Barbara Biasi and Alberto Salvini united their love for teaching and sharing their love of the underwater world with new and experienced divers alike, and continue to do so today. Barbara has 25 years as a PADI Master Instructor teaching all levels of certification. Alberto is an IANTD Technical Cave Instructor Trainer and TDI Tech and Cave instructor, as well as an authority in the history of cave exploration in the area, with 18 yrs experience. Pluto Dive is strictly devoted to safety and preparing all divers for the next step of training, so class sizes are limited to 5 students per instructor, giving each student more one-on-one time with their instructor, regardless of the class being taught. From Reef dives to Cenote tours, Recreational dives to Technical Cave Sidemount Stage dives, we encourage you to build your dream dive trip and we're happy to accommodate you at any time of year.

Have been to Playa Del Carmen many times and been diving with 4 or 5 different Dive shops. This trip my wife and I wanted to improve our diving knowledge and pick up some advanced certifications. I did the research on the front end and picked Pluto because they were super responsive to my questions and reasonably priced. They exceeded our expectations on everything we did and were very patient with all we had to absorb during the week. We started with Nitrox certifications, then my wife completed the work for PADI Advanced Open Water, and did the work for IANTD First Aid and Rescue Diver certifications. It was much to cover in a few days. They did a great job from start to finish and have increased our diving confidence significantly. Great dive shop if you are looking to up your diving skills.

Dove Tajmahal cenote with William today. If I could give Pluto Diving a 6-star rating I would. Professional, fun and amazing diving. Barbara got our day started at the shop, was very organized, and gave us confidence our day would be amazing. William and Tajmahal delivered! Bilingual (Spanish / English) and an absolute professional at his craft, William made us feel safe and in control during both dives.

Staying right next door at the Serenity Boutique Hotel made Pluto dive an obvious choice! We had a private guide, Mauro, every day we went out! He would drive us out to the Cenotes of our choosing and give us excellent briefings and take us to see all the special spots and features of the caverns. Pluto was full service, offered package deals and made sure our equipment was perfect! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and prepared for every dive. Diving Caverns and Caves in Yucatan Cenotes is very special and one of the best diving experiences that we’ve ever logged. Having guides like Mauro and Alberto, with such deep, technical knowledge, made it seem like they were giving us a tour of their back yard. We would return to Pluto Dive in an instant! Thank you, Barbara, Alberto and Mauro!

Pluto dive is great. We did both cenotes and ocean dives with them which I recommend since the shop monitors conditions and will take you to the best diving for that day. Groups are always small so you get good attention and they are always willing to help you improve your diving. Safety is always their priority to make sure you have enjoyable and safe dives.
We had Andrea and William for our guides in the Cenotes. Both were great, never rushed, and always gave good diving tips. Centoes are pretty dives and recommend them if you haven't done them.
Ocean dives were great too. Barbara and Andrea where our guides. Did deep dives and shallow dives. A lot of marine life in the reefs. I wanted to practice some skills while there too which they more than encouraged and assisted me with. During one of our dives, another dive boat showed up and they steered us away from that group so we could enjoy the reef to ourselves.
One in our party of two, did his advanced certification with Pluto. They were thorough and adjusted the course to his interests. Really improved his buoyancy and confidence as a diver. Also, spent time with him after completing the course to give his tips and things to work on to help him improve further.
Barbara and Alberto, the owners, are great. You can get great advise from them, and great stories. Jaguar the Cat runs the place.
They raise money for the local animal shelter so if you can, leave a donation.

Barbara and Alberto run a really top-notch dive shop. They worked with us online to book all the dives and had our necessary gear waiting for us when we arrived. We had two days of diving on the reef with Barbara and one day of cenote diving with their associate, Momo, and each was a special experience. The boat crew was particularly helpful, knowledgeable, and safe. When I'm back in the Yucatan, I know these are the only folks with whom I'll go diving.

We flew more than 30 hours to Mexico to dive in cenotes. It is our first time to dive in cenotes. Barbara explained us well in email before engaged to them.
When we arrive here, we were welcome by Jaguar. Barbara and Alberto was so nice to welcome us and honestly. We feel so warm.
Our guide is Momo for the entire trip of our cenote dives. Cenotes for me is his office. He know inside out of all the cenotes so well. He is well known/famous here. You can hear everybody calling "Momo" at cenotes, roadside, even in the middle of the road.
This dive shop is highly recommended. Amazing and really professionalism is top of their priority.

Wonderful dive shop! Barbara, Alberto and their team are truly on top of their game. Even when the sea threw a curve ball on our plan, they were able to rearrange the schedule last minute. We really enjoyed our dives especially the cenotes which were out of this world amazing. Momo was an excellent guide into these caverns.

I have spent several holidays with Pluto staff. I can only say they are wonderful people, with high professionalism standards and very kind.
For sure every time I go to Playa del Carmen I love to explore caves with Alberto or going to blue waters with Barbara.
Best place to dive, learn and enjoy in Riviera Maya!

Visited 2 cenotes: The Pit and Dos Ojos on Jan 2 and Angelita and Carwash on Jan. 3 with Andre. Excellent experience, top equipment. They did a custom trip just for me and my friend even though there were no other divers going that day to The Pit. Highly recommend and the prices are very good. Will use them again next year.

Did 2 days of Cenote diving with Moms as our guide. Visited Dos Ojos and Chikin Ha. Dos Ojos wS an underground Carlsbad Caverns with lots of limestone formations. The dives were wonderful and Moms was very personable dive master. I would highly recommend Pluto Dive. They are a bit off the beaten path but we'll worth the effort

Thanks to contact us. For sure we can arrange your dives. Please we need to know if you prefer ocean, cenote or both so we can arrange the best dive package for you. Sorry but we can't provide pick up in the hotel because is not allowed. Your hotel is 20 minutes far from Playa del Carmen by taxi or rental car. If you rent a car we have parking space.
