Overview
Though many visitors to the Yucatán Peninsula travel to the ancient Maya city of Tulum, few travelers experience this renowned sight at sunrise, with sun barely touching the Caribbean coastline. With this early morning Tulum adventure, you're whisked from your hotel straight to Tulum, where you can explore the archaeological ruins, visit Laguna Kaan Luum, and swim in the mineral-rich waters—all while avoiding the midday crowds.

Me and my friend were too lucky to have Gaby in our trip to an island Contoy and on the way back to isla de mujeres. You barely find guides on excursions who are explaining everything very passionately and pays attention on all. That fact is actually the fact that makes it different. You do not pay only to see the nature but for the service and the attention as well. And she loves and cares the mother nature and that is the another fact that all the providers need to pay attention at. I am looking forward for being back in Cancun to be able to enjoy different excursions with Gaby again. Thanks a lot!!!!

We went as a family with 12 of us. On this day there were 10 in our group. Gabby made sure that we all felt included and took the time to explain the trip, the stops, what to expect and answered any questions we had during the day. She took the time to get to know us and also share about herself, family and even her dog. We definitely appreciated the guided tour and the extra views on the back side of Tulum, the snorkling and the food. We recommend everyone to her.

We had a private tour for ten to Tulum and to go snorkeling in Akumal with the sea turtles! On our way, we picked up Eric, who was our photographer for the day. We had four kids from 2 to 8 and six adults. Gaby Roja was a wonderful guide. It was July so Tulum was HOT! Gaby showed us all of the highlights of the site and the incredible views of the ocean. The snorkeling was absolutely incredible. We saw tons of turtles and Eric captured some amazing images. Gaby dragged my 4 and 8-year-old all over the ocean on a life preserver ring, so I was able to see everything and not worry about my kids. They had a blast and she was amazing with them. It was an amazing experience. The sea turtles were beautiful! I cannot recommend Gaby and Eric enough!

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon to Mexico. We went on a private tour of Tulum with tour of Mayan ruins, snorkeling and lunch included. Gaby Rojas was our tour guide and she was awesome! There was one other couple with us so it was nice not to be in a huge group. Gaby explained all the plans at the beginning of the day and made sure we only took the necessities for each part so we could enjoy the tour to the fullest not being weighed down by backpacks/towels/etc. She is very knowledgable of the area and history and is so fun! She has such enthusiasm for everything. During snorkeling she made sure everyone was safe and knew how to use the equipment properly. We got to see a few sea turtles, sting ray and lots of fish! The timing of the tour was great too because there was guided time but also left space for exploring/relaxing on your own time. Also lunch was delicious! We recommend to all!

One of the most memorable days of our life! I just took my 15 cruise on Oasis of the Seas. I have always booked excursions through the ship or directly with tour operators (discount groups like Shore trips, etc). Never Again! For a little more, we had the best port tour day ever! It was just my 11 year old son and I. We got off the ship right after it docked (around 7), took a cab, and the ferry (not hard to do) to the mainland. We got there about 8:45 and met Gaby. She and Carlos took us to Tulum first. Gaby speaks excellent English and educated us on the Mayans along the way. When we got to Tulum, she gave us a fantastic tour and was great with my 11 year old. She took a TON of pictures. It was my second time in Tulum (note- you can no longer climb on anything), and it is very beautiful. From there, Gaby took us to 3 Cenotes. She had snorkel equipment (and life vests if you need them). She’s an excellent swimmer and took lots of underwater photos. The cenotes were incredible. If you’ve never seen one- don’t miss out on this opportunity. We snorkeled in an open one and one that was like an open cavern. We ended the day with a 3rd Cenote, and a private Mayan ceremony. Gaby was very warm and knowledgeable. We had requested a lunch on the go because we wanted to maximize our time. She made sandwiches and pasta salad for us. She had lots of water and different kinds of drinks for us. She even brought Mexican cookies and lollipops for my son to try. If your on a cruise and you do take the ferry, note that you really MUST be back to catch the ferry 2 hours before the ship sails. It takes time to get a cab and getting on the ship took a while because of security check points. If you get the 5pm ferry you will miss the boat. We cut it pretty close with the 4pm. You need 30 minutes to clear security on the playa del Carmen side too. So shoot for getting to the terminal at 2:30. We saw so much more and moved at our own pace. Last time I went to Tulum, there were 4 buses of 50 passengers each and a crappy box lunch (no time for cenotes). That was 10 years ago and there are thousands of more people in port on the same day now (4 mega RCL, 2 Norwegian, 2 princess and 1 MSC that I counted ). Spend a bit more, and have the day customized to exactly what you want to see. You can do and see so much more. Gaby and Carlos were just amazing. I never had to worry about taking a picture. When we got home she sent me about 100 photos so we will always remember that day. I’ll never take a ship tour again! If we go back to the area, we will definitely be using Gaby again!
