I did my first-ever jump with Skydive Playa back in 2018, and was very excited to book with them again in December when I returned to the area because I had a very positive experience the first time around. I had no hesitations booking with Skydive Playa the second time around due to their professional yet fun demeanor, attention to detail and safety, easy booking process, and clear instructions before the jump.
Unfortunately, windy weather caused my partner and I's jump to be canceled! However, I wanted to be sure to leave this review, because Skydive Playa made every effort to accommodate the weather patterns and try to work out a different time that was safer to jump, and that fit into our travel plans. I received timely communication from the staff, and when it was clear that I would not be able to jump during my travel time, I received a timely refund.
I have no hesitation to book another jump with Skydive Playa the next time I am in the area, and look forward to it!

Earlier today, my family and I did a tandem skydive with the awesome folks at Skydive Playa. As a licensed skydiver, I did a lot of research before choosing Skydive Playa. I found out that all of their tandem instructors are certified by the USPA, and have many thousands of jumps. When we arrived, we very quickly took care of the necessary paperwork and they started our training. The training was very well done, and even my wife and son(who were first time jumpers), found the training to be thorough and helpful. As a party of 4, we were all able to go up at the same time, in 2 separate aircraft. The trip up to altitude was very scenic as we went out over the ocean. Before we did this, I was concerned that my wife would not make the jump, but she did, mostly because the instructor helped her with her nerves and answered all of her questions. The free fall and canopy ride were very scenic! I was able to see stingray swimming in the ocean below us! There are very few places in the world where you can see the ocean in free fall, and land on the beach! This is one of them! I would highly recommend Skydive Playa, and will definitely jump there again if I get the chance!
One last recommendation is to get the photo/video package so you have a record of your jump. It is definitely worth it!

A skydive was on my bucket list so decided to go for it whist on holiday .
I was petrified ! But it was the most amazing thing I have ever done !
The staff put you at ease and it is very well organised , lots of encouragement and they make you feel super safe .
I absolutely loved it ! Can’t wait to do it again ! X

Hassle free booking online… communication was excellent (via WhatsApp) leading up to the day of the jump..
we arrived early and were put straight into “ground school” and into the plane within 20 mins… our instructors/tandem buddies were excellent as well…
the view over the ocean and beach was also the best I have had for the four times I have tandem jumped. Would highly recommend skydive playa if you are considering a tandem jump in Mexico.

Fun, safe, experienced tandem skydive! We arrived excited and ready to go! We did sit in a waiting area for about 30 minutes but there was a tv displaying other dives and a foosball table to amuse us. Then 15 minute instruction, prep and fitting with harness. Then off to the plane – this is a very small plane with the seats removed except for the pilot and fits 2 diver customers with instructors. You will need to get out of the plane onto a small metal step just outside the door. From walk to plane to ride back to office, the whole adventure takes 50 minutes – 20 minutes to reach a high enough altitude to jump, then free fall and finally gliding down with the chute open. The landing was easy with 2 helpers on the beach. Then a short van ride back to the office. It was a clear and sunny day with breathtaking views. Video is expensive but well worth it! We would definitely do this again and highly recommend Skydive Playa. Shout out to Paco, Alex and Gonzo!

Excellent experience, I had a thousand nerves but from the reception they give you the confidence that it is a safe place, they explain everything and at the time of the jump the instructors take care that you enjoy to the maximum. 100% recommended. Great experience, I will be back soon. ❤️

This experience was everything I could have asked for and hoped for. The instructors are endlessly experienced, and very cool. They made us all feel comfortable about it being our first time. The instructions before hand are short and sweet, and all they need to be. All you need to know coming in is that you’re in good hands. The actual skydive itself was breathtaking to say the least. Perfect weather, beautiful views, and the videos and pictures will forever be one of my favorite memories. I can’t recommend Skydive Playa enough. The best guys and the best experience. Thank you!

To be my second tandem jump with Gilmer, it already has me thinking about the 3rd jump!!!! Without a doubt it is an excellent experience to let go of fears and de-stress!!!! The views are incredible!!! Do it and live every second!! SkyDive Playa always the best!!!!🫶

This was my second skydive and I thought it would be my last. During the first one in Belgrade, I was nervous and scared during the free fall. However, this jump was a complete delight. The team is very professional in all segments. My Brazilian instructor was fantastic and relaxing so I felt very safe the whole time. The plane flight itself, a small Cessna, was spent viewing the Playa from a height... and the jump and flying itself went flawlessly, I enjoyed the blue of the sea and the sky, my most beautiful adventure so far. Absolute recommendation for this team and for the whole atmosphere... The feeling during the descent cannot be described, except that even the spirits would go crazy from the pleasure... And I am not an adventurer, I am almost 68 years old.

Easily the best day of my life! The whole team was very informative and super nice. They made the experience unbelievable and my instructor, Franklin, was incredible! He made me feel so comfortable and safe! It was unforgettable and I couldn’t have asked for a better first time!

Hey there, I'm looking to do my first jump ever with them later this month. I'll admit I'm a bit nervous and anxious about it and have been trying to research if these guys have any accidents but can't seem to find any. Just wanted to confirm if they performed checks before boarding the plane and had briefing sessions? Also, what is the cost for video and photos? I've seen 99 USD but that is serious unreasonable

My wife and I are coming back to Cancun on June 1st. When we were last in Cancun we booked a sky dive with you but due to high wind this was cancelled twice so in the end we gave up. Like I say we are back in Cancun on 1st of June and would like to do the jump we wanted to do back in 2010 however good living and extended years has resulted in me putting on a few extended pounds. I know weigh clothed 17stone 3lbs. In UK there are sky dive clubs that can take people up to 18stone but I'm sure I saw on your web site 220lbs max which is only 15stone 7lbs. Would you be able to accommodate me and my larger body or should I cross skydive off my bucket list? Thanks
