We are a small travel agency located in the center of Playa del Carmen, founded by LUCA who know nearly everything about the Riviera Maya and have been working as tour guides, and travel consultants on the Caribbean coast of Mexico for the past 10 years. We organize our own customized private or group tours and also collaborate with the best tour operators providing quality service at reasonable prices. We only have good things to say about Luca with Luma tours has been an adventure. We were always treated with respect and lots of fun especially on Sian Kaan adventure wth turtles, birds Dolphins ,and swimming in the blue lagoon.
Highly recommend this company for integrity and lots of fun exactly what was offered.

Luca at Luma Tours is awesome! Amazing service and invaluable advice and guidance for our trip. Not only were the tours and activities well organized and professional, at good prices, but he went out of his way to suggest other things to check out. Thanks to him we learned of the Alux cave restaurant and bar which we had a blast at, we learned about using collectivos and places to see along the route. He made our trip better and we thank him for it. Highly suggested tour operator and travel agency. Reliable and professional.

Luca has been absolutely fantastic since the first day I texted him on WhatsApp. He was very clear about all the tours I had interest in and when I visited him in his shop he was very willing to give me more information about Playa del Carmen and places around here. After the tours he always made sure that everything went okay and that I enjoyed them. I recommend him 100%.

What an excellent trip. We booked a private tour with Lucas at Luma Tours and right firm our first contact, via WhatsApp, yes WhatsApp I didn’t realise the capacity of this app until using it for this trip, he was on the ball providing information, example itineraries, suggestions for our on board snacks and drinks etc, it was really refreshing to be treated this way rather than the clinical way the large tour operators deal with your bookings.
On to our trip. We were provided with an English speaking guide, Tom, who was exceptional. His knowledge of the areas we visited was brilliant and he had plenty of time to explain things to us and always answered all questions, his control of time was excellent as well as we had a strict return to hotel time due to a dinner reservation. He made suggestions throughout the day of the way to carry out the visit to each area and suggestions of additional places to visit, in fact we finished the day swimming in a Cenote rather than visiting Ek Balam.
Our driver Ivan was also very involved in the day and extremely accommodating, nothing was too much. The same can also be said for our boat pilot at Rio Lagartos, Marco. He made this part of the trip very special from ensuring we saw all the wildlife promised, including up close and personal with 2 Crocs, when I say up close we are talking 2 feet maximum..... also the lunch provided at Rio Lagartos was very good and traditional Mayan cuisine, our whole group enjoyed this
I can honestly say that on our next visit to Riviera Maya we won’t bother with the larger operators and instead will ask Lucas to arrange all our trips, we know we won’t be disappointed. Thank you Lucas, Tom, Ivan and Marco

We found Luma Tours by chance. They arranged 4 trips from Playa Del Carmen. They took ecare helping us choose our trips , 2 historical and two more ecological. I would recommend any one to use their service. The follow up and monitoring of how our trips went was second to none.

Tired of the many insistent sellers on the 5a Avenida, one of my first evenings during my 10-day holidays in Playa I entered the Luma tours shop: no better decision! From that moment on my holidays changed as I got a professional personalised service (tailor made!) I could consult throughout my time in Playa to be able to support me and organize for me excursions, dive adventures, travel, entrance tickets and days out. All in a very direct and friendly fashion. There is nothing Luca and Elia cannot procure for you, curious traveller: from diving adventures on the many Playa coral reefs or to Cozumel with the support of Elia who is dive master and scuba photographer; to excursion in the nature and wildlife (e.g. amazing Sian Ka'an reserve) where the experience of Luca in ecotourism is unbeatable. And a lot more: I personally got a last minute tour to Mayan ruins of Tulum and Coba' organized by Luca with few calls at 8pm the evening before the tour so that I did not waste a single day! Tour presentation was good and honest: the price-quality range offered was well explained and I finally took an medium priced one knowing before the pros and cons: which makes to me the service offered by this Lima tours a real value added! Tour was interesting and included a refreshing swim in a cave-cenote (underground lake full of stalactites / stalagmite) which made it unforgettable.
I enjoyed every minute of my stay in Playa also thanks to the professional ity and friendly service of this wonderful team of Luma Tours: ask their support, you will be surprised by this team and get the best from your holiday time and discovery of Yucatan. Definitely recommended.

I have just been in Playa del Carmen for a week with my mum and since the beginning we had the chance to meet Stefano. He organised for us great trips to Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba, but most of all he help us to organised every single day of our holiday, even if in that day we hadn't book a real trip. He gave us suggestions about nice trip to do (on our own), restaurants and coffee to try. We found on him a "friend", a constant presence here, in the other part of the world.

Sonia was our tour guide for the whale shark watching tour. She’s very passionate about the Ecotourism in Mexico, so you are guaranteed quality service and guidance by a professional. Whale watching was a unique experience. We were lucky to have one of the best days in the season and were able to snorkel surrounded by many whale sharks. Truly amazing! Sonia and her team are 100% recommended.

Hi Luca,
Ive done some search online and came across your name, everything I read is positive and the fact that you customize the tours is fantastic! I have a feeling is more on a private note if i can call it that, I somehow developed trust in what Ive read so far:) My husband and I are coming to Playa del Carmen on May 1st for one week. We would like to see the ruins but not for hours lol just the most interesting points, Ive heard about a cenote there - that would be super cool. Do you do swimming with dolphins or turtles? We love animals and natural not so crowded places. What elese do you offer? We've never been to Mexico before so I dont know what else we could see? Maybe I should also mention that we are vegetarians when it comes to a lunch on an excursion, do you accomodate that? we are staying at sandos caracol eco resort, is it far from were you are located? what are the price ranges??
I would grately appreciate your answer
