from my part I love Mayan culture and Uxmal the Puuc route is just one of my favorites so far, great explanation from our Guide Daniel, he explained every detail and he showed us some pictures that we were amazed, we climbed one of the...More

To do the route you will need at least a day. Uxmal alone will take half. The other places like Labná, Sayúl, Kabah. each have their differences.

Beautiful area, however with all the sites this is not a day trip. We drove from Merida on 2 separate days. First day we accomplished Uxmal and Kabah. Hire a guide at Uxmal as it is well worth the $ for the information they have...More

I went there with a person from Merida, he took me along the Ruta Puuc, it was beautiful and I could see so many ruins and so much history, it is worth it. The ticket prices if you are a local, tourist or mexican vary,...More

Uxmal I have already separately reviewed. Magnificent. Got there early, rainy season so much less crowded, in fact we were amongst the first. Kabah: very few visitors. Some lovely carvings. One intact codz poop at the right hand end. All other noses broken off. Lots...More

Amazing knowledge given by this particular tour but be prepare to feel an excessive hot and humidity. The guide got us aware of this and anticipated gatorades and a lot of water bottles. Get an extra shirt and a towel.

Don't miss this tour of Mayan culture, away from the busy-ness of Chichen Itza. Visitors are able to walk to the tops of many ruins, and hike all over the grounds.

I hired a car and driver to see all the famous sites, and some not known at all. Although my driver was Mayan, he had never visited. I had Michael Coe's magnificent anthropology book, the Mayans, in hand, so I ended up giving him a...More

Just loved this place. No one else here and so much to see. The humidity was relentless so we explored and then stayed under a large tree on the grassy area and just relax. The ruins are in good condition and have been well looked...More

You will find the best of the Mayan world very close and very interesting, you have to have a guide in the tour, don't try yourself alone, team is better. Do it all!

The Pickled Onion B&B is at Santa Elena. It's very close to Kabah and Uxmal. We saw the 4 smaller ruins first, stayed at the Pickled Onion, and went to Uxmal the following morning - no crowds:) I think it cost about $70... More
