We happened across this ship and ended up buying a beautiful necklace and bracelet from Miguel. He also made a money clip for my husband that he has been searching for in just a couple days. He is a master at his craft and has or can make silver jewelry with a very high grade of silver. I have bought... More

After reading all the reviews here I had to check out this store. I am impressed with the high quality of the jewelry. Many of the pieces are actually .98 silver. I purchased a beautiful bracelet and learned how it was designed using needlework. I can't wait to give it to my friend.

...then you cannot miss Uxmal de Taxco. What a place! So much high quality silver! Took our time and looked at just about everything with Miguel and Irma. Miguel, the owner and silversmith, explained the details for any piece. Talk about customer service! The silver jewelry we purchased are 'heirloom pieces' made of 98% silver. Uxmal de Taxco will be... More

Our first trip to Mexico and it was Valentines Day. we bought matching rings from Mr Dominguez. What a lovely man, genuine, and cares about his customers. His helpful staff showed us many rings , a great selection, reasonable prices, a pleasant store to shop in. Overall a great experience.

Ok. Here is a very special spot for silver jewelry. A piece of Mexican silver history and excellent quality. A collector of antique Mexican jewelry wrote the following on Fodor's: "In Merida I HIGHLY recommend The grandson of a master silversmith who owns a silver shop called Uxmal de Taxco. the owner's father was a silversmith in Taxco and his... I have lived in Merida for 12 years. And I have been a client , visitor, and friend since that time. I have bought items made by the proprietor as well as items from other parts of Mexico. He has also custom made items for me and my family. It is always a pleasant experience to visit this professional place... More

I have been "visiting" Uxmal de Taxco in Merida for nearly 20 years. I have shopped at Don Miguel's store dozens of times and made dozens of unique, excellent purchases. I have taken scores of friends to buy his high quality silver and EVERYONE brags for years about what they bought. I have rarely, but occasionally purchased pieces that later... More

The owner/artisan is very proud of his wares and the craftspersonship, as well as the silver count, seems high. Most of the pieces are standard, but a few have interesting designs. Worth a visit, especially since there are several other stores/galleries in the immediate vicinity.

Miguel and the woman working with him are amazing! The shop is located next to Santa Ana park and easy to find. We read about it on trip advisor and wanted to visit and was not disappointed. Both of them were very attentive and personable. Miguel is able to make anything you would like and his pieces are beautiful. I... More
