I just love this place. You could visit the little museum with very antique objects to learn about the lifestyle back in the day. Facilities are impeccable and very well mantained, keeping the feeling of "aged" and lost in time. They even have a cenote and part of was the "henequen" factory. Loved it!…

This hacienda was recommended to us by our hotel hostess in Progreso. After visiting a neighbouring hacienda with cenote, we stopped here for lunch. We came just a few muinuts before they opened luckily, as the huge dining area filled up quickly. The grounds are stunning, we could wander through the little museums with beautiful art work, the cenote and theatre area at the back is absolutely beautiful, I bet it would be amazing for concerts. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we have had during our trip, I had a pork dish with tasty sauce, hubby had a shrimp dish with beets which was great. Service was excellent, some English spoken and the prices were very reasonable, less than $30 CAD for 4 beers and 2 entrées. This place is off the beaten path, south of Mericpda, but if you are on the way to Uxmal, or going to a neighbouring hacienda, definitely worth a stop.…
