Our friends needed to drop off something for the owner from a charity event and they said we would love this great little shop. They were so right! There is a variety of items so it was easy to find something for everyone on the list. Definitely add this to your list when visiting Merida.

Awesome Mexican souvenirs & home decor items- I found lots of things to take home. It's pricier than items you can find from street vendors, but excellent quality and selection, making it well worth checking out.

Had read about El Estudio online and had checked out their website. Looked really cool so we decided to check it out in person. Really cool store. Great place for gifts from Mexico. The owner makes sure everything is from Mexico and made more by local artisans and not mass produced. Definitely worth checking out for unique items.

EXACTLY what I was looking for when souvenir shopping. The prices were good, plus the US dollar against peso is so high that I could buy so much!!

This is one of the best gift shops in the city of Merida. Although you can find cheap gifts around every corner- there is no other place in Merida to find artisanal handicrafts of such high quality. The shop is personally curated by the owner and contains handicrafts from all over Mexico. If you want Katrinas, weavings, pottery, really anything-... More

El Estudio! is super cute, it is jam-packed with colourful funky little things. I wouldn't say it's particularly 'artisan', a lot of the stuff is quite commercial and generic, but some stuff is very cute and unique. I loved their tiled mirrors and embroidered pillows! However, everything is SUPER expensive... You can find anything here for 1/5th the price on... More

Hello wanderluster 018, Sorry to hear this is how you feel. I can assure you that everything in the store is ´artisan´ as I am the owner and I travel all over Mexico and personally buy from each family or group of families that hand craft our products. As far as prices go, electricity is expensive and our location on... More

This shop is more interesting than most of the shops in the city. The art and souvenirs are fun, beautiful and things I actually want for myself. There are also plenty of great things to give as gifts

Really cool shop in Merida to buy a gift from. Watch out though as the pin on the map is wrong, use the address to find this place instead!

Sorry about that! Glad you were able to find us. We have contacted Trip Advisor and hopefully the pin will be fixed as soon as possible. We have made sure the address is correct if for some reason the pin does not get moved. Thanks for the heads up and we hope to see you back in Merida soon! More

Didn't know what to expect...I was walking along Paseo de Montejo, looking for something else. I couldn't find whatever I was looking for so I went in here for the air conditioning and bought a bunch of beautiful artwork - little statues, the famous skeletons in arte popular, small paintings...I highly recommend getting souvenirs from here!

We are so glad you found us instead of what you were originally looking for! ;) We love sharing the joy of our air conditioning with customers and makes us even happier when you are able to find something you love to take with you. Thanks for coming in and we hope you are back in Merida soon! More
