It was an extremely hot day in Merida when we did this tour so we didn't spend more than the necessary time in the markets - I recommend bringing a fan to keep you cool. Our guide Eric was very friendly with excellent English and have us lots of insight of the locals (not just about food). He was always... More

We had such a lovely afternoon learning how to cook authentic Yucatan cuisine. Our guide Eric met us at our hotel and walked with us to the markets where we were able to purchase many ingredients we needed for dinner. Eric was enthusiastic and engaging all afternoon. He explained things well, answered all of our questions and his English is... More

We spent a day with Eric our guide discovering 4 local cenotes. At first we were a bit concerned as we walked for 45 mins in the heat to get the minivan where we then waited in the bus till it was full. So it took awhile to get going and in the heat this was not fun. But once... More

Guide Alejo led our group of 5 travelers on an amazing tour of cenotes near Homún, about 50 km southeast of Mérida. We departed from Mérida by bus just after 9:00 in the morning. Shortly after arriving in Homún, we boarded the moto-taxis that shuttled us around for the day. We visited three cenotes and then enjoyed lunch together at... More

My boyfriend and I did the amazing and super affordable Urban Adventures Cenote Tour and the Home Cooking Tour, and we had such a great time. One of the perks of this tour group is that there's no group too small - it was just the two of us on both of the day-long tours! Guides Alejo and Adam gave... More

We had an incredible experience, our amazing tour guide (Luis) customized our tour that day to suit our needs. Since we were on cultural sharing trip for University credits, he really understood our eagerness to learn as much as we could about the Mayan people's and also the history. It was a memorable few days with Luis and Chuie (driver... More

We were very impressed with the Merida Market Tour and Cooking Class. Our guide was lovely, very informative, and wonderfully patient with us whenver we got distracted by shiny things in nearby but unrelated stalls. He made a point of bringing us to his favorite vendors, and telling us why he liked them - a great bonus because the next... More

Alejo showed us a good time visiting 3 different cenotes. Even though the temperature was not that hot, the water was perfect for swimming in the cenotes , and they were beautiful. We especially enjoyed the rides in the motor taxis. It was a good experience to take the collective buses, and we used that mode of transportation the next... More
