My family had a great time with Fernando! We did the Merida Photo Walk tour that was just over 2 hours long. Fernando was very knowledgeable about the city and its history and took us to unique places where we may not have known to go just from researching ourselves. He also gave us unique ideas and perspectives for photos to take and how to frame them. I 100% recommend!!

Just to note, the tour is actually free, they just as you for a credit card to secure your booking. At no time did Fernando make us feel like we owed him anything or did we feel obligated to tip him. Of course we did (he deserved it!!) and I encourage everyone else to tip generously as well.

This was a last minute decision for us to join this tour and we couldn’t be happier. Fernando was our tour guide and he did an amazing job at hosting a group of 20+ international travelers in English. The « walking » is rather limited but the information and recommendations provided during the tour were extremely useful and a great way to get introduced to this beautiful city and its history. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to Merida as airline crew on a layover. Our guide Fernando was pleasant, witty, and knowledgeable. He included facts and fun information on everything from history to restaurant recommendations. It was wonderful to see a young person so eager to share his Country with people from all over the world. The timing of the tour is perfect for a nice lunch right afterwards.

The guide was very enthusiastic and passionate about Merida, which was great, but the city itself doesn’t have a lot going on. We didn’t go very far from where we first started, the tour was mainly history and a few local, recommendations. If you like history then you will enjoy this tour, if your after more culture and seeing the sights, this tour probably isn’t for you.

Had a great time with Gabriel as our English guide. He was nervous at first but then by the end he was making all of us laugh! A must do for those who love history, and mixed cultures. Props Gabriel for conducting an awesome tour in your THIRD (Mayan, Spanish, English) language!

This is definitely a tour more focused on history, so maybe not for those who are looking for more present day news about a city

Fernando guided us in a fascinating and informative walking tour of Merida Centro. He got to know us so he could speak responsively in relation to our own contexts and interests and his deep knowledge of the history and current realities in Mexico were enlightening. Loved how he engaged with questions and brought his high energy and sense of humour.

I did both the photo and history tour of Merida with Fernando. I strongly recommend both as an excellent way to learn more about this wonderful place. Fernando is a fantastic guide and his passion for the history of the town and his skills in framing the perfect photo are top rated. I really enjoyed his photo tour as it made me see the city in new and beautiful ways.

Fernando was our guide for the free 2 hour merida city tour. He did a great job explaining the history and was very comfortable guiding the group so this made it fun. He also had a lot of recommendations for food and other activities near by. I recommend going on this free tour

Gabriel was our tour guide. He was funny but we were a quiet group….

Tour is good, perhaps a bit too long so I was glad when it ended at 6:30pm.

Would have been interesting to learn more about modern life in Merida.

Bring lots of water! It was still really hot at 5pm and I was always in search of shade.
