I love the large paintings in the hallways which added some charm to the whole ambience of the building. The gallery was wonderful and educational as the paintings displayed relayed the pertinent history of the Yucatan Peninsula! The building was well maintained and preserved.

Yes, it’s a historical building turned into a modern bank with a museum inside... Only 3 or 4 halls but very well appointed, you can really tell the European opulence of the time, it’s only a 25min visit, so very small...the sad part is not...More

We appreciate this having free entry. Earlier in the day we tried to visit but there was a protest by the Mayan community, we think they were complaining about corruption, wages and no jobs for Mayans. We sympathise. The Police were stopping public entry at...More

Wonderful paintings - one of the best places to visit in Mérida. Interesting paintings - painted by artists in late 1970’s. Set in a beautiful building .

This building is open until 9pm and the murals inside are spectacular. They really tell the history of Yucatan. They were beautiful and the building itself is very nice, especially the grand ballroom on the 2nd floor.

The main attraction of the Palacio is a quiet respite from the crowd outside in a cool and stately mansion. The paintings are attractive illustrations of Mérida’s history. Stand at a front window and people-watch.

It was rebuilt in 19th century to original archetectural specs. Famous murals were painted in the 1970's. A must see if your going to Merida
