We have been here a few times with boat captains for lunch. The food is good. The cocktails are reasonably prices (if a bit slow). They have large outdoor grills for the famous Tikin Xic fish. The gem here is one of the souvenir shop owners. Elizabeth was sweet and awesome. We bought several little gifts, a new beach bag and a skull candle holder for the best prices on the island. (Not fans of the two nurse sharks the owner keeps in captivity on the docks). We will return again. Good fish tacos and ceviche.

The beach holds two nurse sharks captive in a small square enclosure so that tourists can pay money and take pictures. Don’t support animal cruelty by coming here.

Be AWARE AT ALL TIMES. Here for a lunch stop after a snorkel tour. I had my phone STOLEN out of my bag by some locales just as we were gathering to go eat lunch. There is a lot of activity to get distracted by-the sad shark, the yellow dog carrying a coconut that continuously drops it in the water and has to go fetch it, the guy selling conch shells. This is a perfect location to pick valuable off from tourists, it’s small and the area is condensed someone can just easily walk by and take it. They are now sending fake texts to try and gain access to my iphone since there is a long passcode. NOT TODAY! The food was good, the area was small, the shark was sad. I’m personally shocked someone hasn’t come in in the middle of the night and rescued the poor thing.

We walked up to this area whilst we were exploring the island. I was horrified to see two nurse sharks held captive in a tiny pen. These are obviously here for people go grope and hold, which is just absolute animal abuse. Please do not fund this terrible place!

Always have lunch here when visiting. They have done alot of upgrades in the last 2 years. Cold beer and good food. Rent a golf cart and give it a try.
