I did a 7 hour private catamaran tour in August 2020 and I had a wonderful time!! The service provided was excellent! From choosing a boat to arranging the tour, Mariel was super helpful and very friendly. She answered all of my questions (which were many) and provided pictures and prices in very quick responses. The prices were very reasonable.
The tour itself was phenomenal. Fernando and Roman were TOP NOTCH! They made sure that I had a great time and took me everywhere I wanted to go! Fernando took a ton of pictures of me and also made sure that I was safe while we were snorkeling in different areas. I felt even more safe because they followed all of the important Covid-19 safety protocols.
The water was clear and beautiful and it was not too crowded with people anywhere we went.
If you are hesitating at all, just GOOOOO. It was an unforgettable experience that I truly enjoyed.

I booked this excursion through sunwing. This was a relaxing and adventurous experience. You start off by taking yacht over to Isla Mujeres. On the yacht ; you're given one free full course me al with an unlimited alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. About half way there, the yacht stops for the host go take you on a snorkelling your in the ocean. After the snorkelling, the ship continues the journey to Isla Mujeres.
Once you arrive at Isla Mujeres: you have the option to shop at stores, eat at restaurants, relax on the beach, walk 5 minutes to another beach, go to a snorkelling beach and rent a golf cart to go to the temple. I ended up doing all. I started off renting a golf cart. Directions to the temple were pretty clear cut (straight, all the way down to the end). It was about 20-30 min drive (Brace yourself for a bumpy drive because there are alot of speed bumps and potholes. Which in fact; just make you use more of your skills while driving, and makes the drive that much more fun). Such a beautiful temple and view. It's definitely worth the drive there. After exploring the site and temple; we drove back to return the golf cart. Once the golf cart was returned, we started off by checking out the other beaches. Stopped at one of the bars and then we bought some alcohol to bring back to the back to the resort. They had really nice tequila and mezcal options.
The host and everybody else on the ship were amazing. 5 star service. Photographer takes professional pictures of everybody on the yacht. You have the option to purchase these photos if you want.

experience was an adventure filled day at the dolphin encounter. We took the ferry ride over and that have been half hour to 45 mins from mainland. It was a clear day. And this lady sitting behind me decided to feed the seagulls hovering overhead. She nearly caused an attack as soon they were all trying to dive bomb us for food. We got on the island and quickly changed and placed our stuff in the free lockers. In the water by 10:30 am. for an amazing interactive experience. And individually with the mommy dolphin was priceless just to observe her with her pup and to see how she related to us also being in the water. The weather turned harsh, and the waters got choppy from heavy winds but amazingly this dolphin knew to protect everyone. She protected her pup and she still did her job she came and she swam up to us she gave us a kiss, she danced with us and she actually lay in our hands and give us a big smile these these moments are priceless! just to see Jehovah‘s creation in action and it was exciting to see and be a part of that. We were able to discover the iguana who came by or hammocks as we were sunbathing and we actually got to observe the walrus and his trainer during his bathtime and how obedient he was rolling over for his trainer to get under his fins. A really really exceptional experience! The boat ride back was also amazing we were able to experience the sunset while on the water going across to mainland Cancun.

We had an amazing experience celebrating a 40th birthday on a catamaran boat with a group of 15 friends from NYC and SF. Starting w the booking and confirmation experience, Mariel was responsive and attentive and easy to work with. And then the captain and the crew were super professional, nice and accomodating. The boat was lovely and relatively new and we were upgraded to a 43 foot last minute. I highly recommend booking a catamaran trip with mariel and her team.

Isla Contoy trip. Very disappointing. No information about two stops to pick up more people. 45 min promised to the Isla took 1.5 hour. No more than 30 people on the boat also exceeded. We were told that there would be a stop with snorkelling, but not that this was only possible accompanied with a guide and in very limited time (20 min). Also that life vest was obligatory for snorkelling but not for the guides. Makes no sense. We were told that you can walk freely on the island however it was only at the beach. We had a rushed guided ten minute tour to see an inch of the island. It wasn’t taking into consideration that four English speaking people were put on an German/Spanish speaking trip. Would recommend whoever is selling the trip to tell every details

We were in Isla Mujeres in March 2020 and I needed a haircut and beard Shaping. Charlie, downtown at the barbershop was great!! He did a great job on my beard and he used a straight razor. He takes his time and is a perfectionist, so give it about 45 minutes.

We booked 2 tours with Isla Mujeres Trips while on the island. Marcus gave us advice and recommendations and provided attentive support before and during the trips (that were operated buy third party tour operators). He is knowledgeable about the island and can recommend fun activities that you may wish to experience while visiting Isla Mujeres.
I am glad I booked in person and I recommended visiting their office location if you plan to spend a few days on beautiful Isla Mujeres.

Went into the jewellery shop in main beach they totally lied to me $1400 for a ring. was told it was platinum coated gold 2 small vs1 diamonds and a colour change garnet after say no so many time we left but they came looking for us 10 mins later said they spoke to the boss and they will sell it for $600so we bought it only to find out its 925 silver and cz worth £40 at the most. This totally ruined my holiday and it took most of my money they didn't give a dame they lied so easily and didn't even care that they had done it to me. I hate them for it, they do not have an ounce of honesty.
Do not shop in there.
I wanted to go back but was to scared to.
They also said they would email us the certificate on the ring,,,,,,,,,,,,, never got it

Due to seaweed issues around our hotel we wanted to experience a typical beach and do some snorkelling also . We opted for the trip with the beach club lunch
Transfer on the coach was easy and we were shown to our boat….that was ok a bit chaotic and busy but we found it ok. The crew were great.
We sailed out for snorkelling kitted out …unfortunately the snorkelling area was crowded with people in a small area and our guides were encouraging the fish by feeding them …it was amazing and our kids loved it but not sure about how environmentally friendly this was really…..
We had 30 minutes of this and then got back onto the boat to the island .
We were ushered off the boat (the island was beautiful but again mobbed!) we were shown to a shop where we could use the facilities and of course be tempted to buy things and have a tequila tasting , we then had 2 hours free time to do whatever …the sea was lovely and beach but way too overcrowded …and way too warm to walk around
We then sailed to the beach club ….word of advice do no take this option ….food was way below average standard dirty plates and cups , facilities were disgusting an hour and a half here was crazy we could not wait to leave !! Needless to say kids left there hungry and a few of us could not bring ourselves to eat anything . Go somewhere else!
On return to the boat the Sail back to Cancun was amazing , music on …chilling and we saw turtles swimming about !
If you take this trip do not opt for the beach club lunch or opt for just a snorkelling trip and ensure it’s a small group one.

We decided to take A trip rather than use the ferry there is a straw hut Just by the ferry in Cancun they sold us a shopping trip we had to drive 15 minutes to another port and got in this small awful boat which was crammed I felt like an asylum seeker pardon me but it was dreadful it took an hour to get to Isla mujeres they promised us lunch on the beach and a drink there was no drink though the beach you wouldn’t describe as a beach and the food I wouldn’t give my dog seriously it was in an old canteen with grotty plastic chairs we were not happy I even went back the next day and they would not even listen to me. So do not use this booth which is directly behind by the ferry it has a straw roof. Use a proper catamaran or the ferry.

At the airport in Cancun tell at the taxi desk that you are going to Isla Mujeres. Ask and compare pricing and choose a taxi. Price will depend on how many are riding and luggage. Have fun, you will like be it. If you have any further questions, I’m here for you.

Hello, I am planning to take the ferry and visit on January 2. Unfortunately all the golf cart rental places that take reservations are all fully booked during this peak week. Do I take the chance to go without a reservation and hope that I can get a rental even though it is a very busy week?

Much better to take a cab than a golf cart.
Not expensive. 4 hrs will give you a chance

Voy a ir a Isla mujeres, quiero saber si existen estacionamientos en la isla? ya que planeo cruzar mi auto por el ferry ya que sale mas barato que pagar el cruzero de ultramar, y me es mas barato que rentar aparte un carrito de Golf.

Si se cuenta con estacionamientos públicos y privados, aunque la mayoría de ellos se encuentran en el centro de la Isla, suerte.
Hello, I have a tour booked on July 7th. Regarding snorkeling, is it possible to still be able to snorkel without knowing how to swim? If not, can we opt out of the snorkeling portion of the tour and just sit on the boat while the others snorkel?

On our trip we did not snorkel. The water was rough that day, the winds were up, and the crew advised that only experienced snorkelers go in. We have never done so, so we did exactly what you said and sat on the boat with lots of others. The time was not long and we watched and enjoyed the sun. This part of the trip did not cost extra, so there was no refund. We found out from those that went in, that there was nothing to see underwater in the location anyway.
Further, we learned later that there are health and age restrictions that included us, that we had not been advised of and were not enforced.
Plus, the only changing area was a wet latrine under the deck that was cramped, and according to some who used it, not in a great state of cleanliness.

Any Isla Mujeres Trips you'll have to pay it, yeah, there's a lot of transport to go until the company that will take you to Isla Mujeres.

I have reserved a golf cart for our trip to the island, however, the rental company Isla Mujeres Golf Cart Co. is requiring us to leave a drivers license with them. Is this common and has anyone experienced identity theft from this practice?

Hello, both time that we have been to Isla Mujeres and reserved a Golf Cart we have been asked to do that. In my opinion this is common since it has been our experience, so far no identity theft! :)

they one tour I did was with dolphins i found the cheapest price on line for isla mujeres,
the photos are ridiculously expensive, but if you bargain with those guys you can get them for 25 bucks

Depend if ur Staying in Playa del Carmen in the city dont need to have all included cause lots of restaurants but if u stay outside the city a all included is better :)
