We had an amazing experience doing our first night dive and shipwreck dive with Enrique. During the night dive, we saw so many sea turtles, octopus, spiny lobsters and bioluminescent plankton! The shipwreck dive was our first and that was incredible as well. The diving equipment is much nicer and held at a higher standard than I’ve seen at other shops on the island. Pablo, who is the owner of the shop, provided excellent and personal customer service. He really went the extra mile for my boyfriend and I. The owners of the shops are also locals and natives so it’s important to support their businesses. This will be our dive shop from now on when we visit Isla Mujeres!

We swam with Whale Sharks and the experience was amazing. They were nice and accommodating. We also SCUBA dove after our Whale Shark adventure and that was fanatic end to the day.

I went on 4 dives, 2 each day for two days. I chose this small company because of reviews I read online and because I wanted to give business to a smaller business owner (versus a larger corporation). The owner (Pablo) was kind, informative, and helpful. He even drove me to a fantastic place for lunch today. The dive master Enrique was absolutely perfect. I felt safe with him. He made sure I knew what was going on at all times. He is quite competent and professional. One day the captain of the boat was Jesus, and one day it was Jose. The equipment was all in perfect working order and clean. I thought the costs were reasonable. I saw a few turtles, lots of colorful fish and coral, barracuda, puffer fish, lobsters, trumpet fish, moral eels, and some rays (sting rays I think). I would highly recommend these guys.

We were spending a week on the island with 12 people. Arranging any kind of activity was like bearding cats. We had a morning of visiting and my bestie and I decided to drive into Casa Del Buceo and see if the had any snorkel openings as weather was looking crappy for the rest of the week. 10 minutes later Pablo had us outfitted, in a boat and pulling off the dock! Our guide and boatman were Enrique and Jose. We couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon. We snorkeled the reef area on the west side just north of the outlet. Enrique was super patient, attentive and careful to point out sea life I would have missed: octopus, barracuda, sea worms, tiny jellyfish, black urchin and many many others species of fish. We opted to head to Musa also to check out the underwater sculptures. While probably best to scuba Musa we haven’t had time for lessons and this was still an interesting visit. The underwater sculptures and interesting and kind of creeped me out at the same time. The water is deeper and our visibility was good. We saw rays and more interesting fish. We enjoyed the company and had some good laughs on the boat as it was just the 4 of us. Once back at the dock we watched homemade fish stew being made, chatted with Pablo and his fisherman guests as they were heading out the next day to fish. I have taken quite a few trips with the more “commercial” outfits in the area. This one was by far my favorite. They know the island and the waters. We felt super safe and comfortable. The price was more than reasonable. We will be back to dive with these folks!!!! My only regret was not brining my phone out to snap some shots!!!

I have traveled to Isla Mujeres many times over the past 8+ years. Cas Del Buceo is always on top of the list of things to do and places to visit. Myself along with family have had amazing trips snorkeling and swam with whale sharks numerous times. Always treated well, appointments are on time and the staff are experienced and friendly. Most recently I had the beginner dive experience. This can be intimidating your first trip out but I was given individual attention along with everyone else on the trip and we had an amazing shallow dive then went to the Underwater Museum. Safety was first and foremost, Enrique was absolutely amazing. Going back soon for the 4 day certification. If you want a professional service but the "feels like family" experience I highly recommend Casa Del Buceo.
