Definitely worth a visit to the park!
Aug 2021
The beaches and the drive through the park are beautiful. I really enjoyed climbing the light house for the view as well. Its definitely worth a visit and spending the day. We rented a car (no tour) and spent about 3 hours here, but really I recommend more time. We stopped as part of a larger, self-guided trip around the island, but I didn't get quite enough time in the Eco Park to fully justify the entrance fee. We saw the light house, beach, snorkeled and had a quick snack. You really need 5-6 hours to explore more, really enjoy the beach and swimming, and see the crocodiles. If I did it again, I'd spend one day here in the Eco Park, then travel around the island and visit the east coast beaches and town another day.

Oh...and when we were there, certainly no lines...so you probably won't save any time with a skip-the-line ticket.

Snorkeling day
Jul 2021
We took our snorkeling gear and went looking for a reef and the road brought us here. We have been here once before. The lighthouse is fun, and the whole area is very instagram-y, but this time we wanted to spend more time in the water. You aren't allowed to use sunscreen in the water here, so remember your rash guards to protect yourself (and the reef). We saw crocodiles, sea turtles, stingrays, all manner of fish and lots of birds. The roads were a bit bumpy for us on our scooter, but not impossible. $16 each to get in for at least 4 hours of fun (if not more) is a great deal. Everyone that visits Cozumel should come here at least once. We left all our stuff on the beach while we snorkeled and everything was there when we got back, very safe. The staff at the beach clubs were polite and playful. We did have to wear lifevests to go out to the reef, which was kind of far from shore.

Hot, Humid, and Remote.

While we did enjoy our time here, it was extremely hot and everyone had to wear their masks outside. We saw a HUGE crocodile underneath the tower and learned a lot about the ecosystems in and around Cozumel.

What a view and worth the entrance cost
Beautiful. We didn't need bring our suits or snorkel gear as we saw the surf in the areas and we thought it would be too rough esp for me. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Gentle swells and soft sand and blue waters. Our next visit, bringing it all.

Loved it!
Amazing!!! We loved the entire thing. Leo at the beach was amazing he took my daughter snorkeling to see lots of things. I’m trying to get ahold of someone there because I never got pictures they were going to email me. Does anyone have any idea how to get ahold of anyone!

Be prepared to get a work out in!

We swam a long way fighting rough waves… we saw one octopus and one star fish. We have snorkeled 5-6 times in Cozumel at Buccanos Beach Bar and would much much rather have snorkeled there. It wasn’t worth the energy of fighting the waves for us.

Decent time
May 2021
Very windy and the beach was "closed" with a lot of seaweed awash on the shores all around. Some interesting landmarks with the Lighthouse and mini-museum. A steep climb but good vistas. Again, very windy up there on certain days. There is an included Tequila tour which is just a small sampling of artisanal, local tequila with a reported "authentic" production using 100% blue agave. Still excellent and available for purchase since they cannot export.

Further in are a few shanty restaurants offering bar food, beer, liquor and cocktails. They apparently operate independently but seem to be of the same quality (which is only average). There is a Lagoon tour where they took us out for 30 mins to show us a couple of salt-water crocodiles and birds and discuss the different types of mangroves. Not the worst 30 minutes I have spent, but not that exhilarating either.

It's a good cause to support local wildlife preservation and I can say, "I've been there."
