My daughter and I took the private dune buggy tour with Adriana. It was a fantastic tour, and Adriana was a wonderful guide. Her knowledge about all of the hidden spots along the east side of the island was expansive. We stopped at a really fun roadside restaurant\bar for beers, after she took us through the terrain that has been largely untouched by the tourist industry. She knew all the good places to stop for views. The water was somewhat unsafe for extended snorkeling from the beach club, but we were able to at least get in for a cool down. The food was terrific and the people at all our stops were so friendly! El Cielo and the eco reserve are beautiful and Adriana told us so much about it's history. The tequila stop was a highlight...and not just because the tequila is delicious. I've never had organic tequila before, and it was very smooth going down. I highly recommend the almond tequila. We bought six different distillations to take home!! The explanation of the process was so interesting and informative. During the whole tour, Adriana made sure we were having fun, learning a lot, and feeling safe!

One negative comment for the administration of this company-please be sure that you put information in the confirmation email about where the guides will pick up the people who book this tour. We took a taxi from the ferry port to the main address, rather than waiting for Adriana, who had gone to the ferry port to pick us up!

This is a non-standard review, but I was so pleased with this company, I wanted to pass this on.

In mid-June, we stayed at Riviera Maya and booked a snorkel tour with CCE in Cozumel. We’ve taken the ferry back and forth and used collectivos to get to Playa del Carmen, so it sounded like a fun outing.

In short, weather (the first tropical storm of the new hurricane season, oh yay!) made us cancel. However, CCE was easy to communicate with; they promptly answered our questions, gave us information that we had not discovered ourselves (more on that in a minute), and promptly refunded our money (we cancelled within their rules).

While weather drove our decision, there were 2 other factors that reinforced our decision not to go. First, there’s significant road construction on the one highway between Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen. Out of curiosity, I Google mapped it several times, and it often took 50 minutes to get to PDC from our hotel (14 miles) and our intention was to take a collectivo, rather than a taxi.

The other, more significant issue is the ferries to Cozumel from PDC are all wonky. The 2 ferry service, which used to run together, with similar schedules, now only run singly on alternating days (byproduct of the pandemic). Now there’s one ferry company running all day.

Our snorkel company (CCE) told us that we absolutely needed to be at the ferry terminal no later than 9:00 in order to get on the 10:00 ferry (snorkel tour at 11:00). We were told that even if our ticket said “10:00 ferry,” but there were enough people in line ahead of us, we might not actually be on the 10:00 ferry.

(Quick rabbit trail: We happened to meet a couple at our resort who had a similar experience, trying to get to a dolphin excursion on Cozumel. They paid “extra” to someone who would put them in a “special line” to make sure they made the ferry. They soon discovered there were several of these “special lines” and they almost didn’t make it onto the ferry anyway.)

So, we appreciated CCE giving us a heads up about the ferry situation, but given the weather situation we canceled. It doesn’t change the fact that I was quite impressed with their helpfulness and attitude! Next time we are in the Yucatán, we’ll book our excursions with them.

We stopped in Cozumel for our cruise and used this company to book a snorkeling tour. They were fantastic!
First, our ship’s itinerary changed the day we set sail. The company emailed me immediately that they had seen this change, and automatically changed our tour date to match our new day in port. This was a huge stress relief for us.
This company cares about your safety. The ocean was rough the day we visited. When we met up with our guide, she let us know that 2 of the main reefs we would visit were closed for the day. She then gave us the option for a complete refund, or to go to other reefs with calmer water. We opted to still snorkel, but offering a refund spoke volumes about the company.
We were transferred to a local marina and went out on a small boat. The crew was friendly and informative, and we had a great time swimming around. They make us guacamole and pico, gave us beers, and eventually pulled out a handle of tequila to take shots out of.
This company made our stop in Cozumel our favorite day, please use them and have the time of your life!!

We just went on the snorkel trip with them last week. Our ship was Symphony of the Seas and it was a quick and easy walk to meet up with them at the Mayan Plaza and then Carla met us there and took us by minivan to the dock which was maybe 10 minutes away. We waited for 10 minutes or so to meet up with the other people who were joining and off we went. They say 12 people or less on the boat, and it happened to be 8 people our day and there was a driver, snorkel guide plus a underwater photographer. It was supposed to be El Cielo plus snorkeling, but unfortunately conditions weren't right so we did 4 snorkel spots, 2 shallow and 2 deep. Drinks were included, and while it says soda it is a local carbonated drink, not Coke or Sprite FYI. The boat had quite a bit of shade and you could borrow their equipment if you wanted. They cut up fresh pineapple in between spots and at the end made homemade guacamole and chips, which after snorkeling hit the spot! When we returned to the dock, they have a driver take us back. No waiting around for others. The photographer took nice photos, and there was an option to buy no clue how much, we had our own go pro so didn't. No mention of tips/pushiness which always makes me want to tip! I have no idea if it's expected or how much was, but for the attention, I felt it was warranted.

This is for the Snorkeling Tour. No cruise ships were going during the time of our tour. We booked through their website and pricing for a four hour tour is reasonable. We were taken from the ferry port in Cozumel to the boat and back.
Our two guides were great. I recommend wearing the life jacket. Water and beer is available, you will be offered and you can ask. I was able to do the whole Planacar Reef portion of the tour and the reef and fish are interesting. I started getting motion sick on the way to the Columbian Reef. Lots of fish here, even though I was able to do it for a few minutes. I then fed the fish and went back on the boat. We went to El Cielo and for a couple of minutes saw starfish for a couple minutes and had to get back on the boat again. For our tour then we went to a desolate beach for a nice period of time, where I laid on the beach drank water and then felt better. We had some nice snacks (guac, chips, etc.). Even though I was not feeling well part of the tour the guides did the best they could. I did not have a beer during the tour and asked if I could take a beer for later and this was no problem. I would recommend this tour to anybody with the exception of the very elderly and people who get motion sick easily.

Four of us really enjoyed the El Cielo Snorkel Tour! We were picked up a short distance from our cruise port and driven to the boat. Our main guide, Marcos, made sure we had everything we needed, including water and snorkel gear (for those who didn't own it). We went to three different areas to snorkel, and we saw a huge variety of fish - all different sizes and colors. Very personable and friendly Marcos swam with us and fed the fish which made them all swarm around us. Super awesome! The coral wasn't as colorful as I had expected, but all the sea life was really amazing. We ended up at a shallow sand bar with lots and lots of stingrays that we could even touch. We stood in the water and ate/drank an endless supply of amazing guac and chips and drinks. It was an invigorating excursion that we highly recommend!

We travel as a party of four on a Royal Caribean cruise from Galveston (which was excellent, by the way) and took the Jeep Tour of the island with Gizmo (not sure of the spelling of the name).

Excellent and enthusiastic guide.
Highly reccomended.

Also, Ricardo at the Reyes Tequila showroom was quite nice and not pushy.
We didn't buy anything there as we're always careful of things being not what they really are.

We had a great time on the snorkeling excursion! We were a little disappointed at first to find out that our original itinerary had to be changed due to weather, but they quickly came up with a great back up plan. All 12 of us (13-75 y/o) had an excellent time snorkeling.
Angel and Jose took us to beautiful snorkeling spots, pointed out beautiful fish, and ensured safety & fun for all.
They made AMAZING fresh guacamole on the boat and served up Mexican sodas & beers.
We were picked up just outside the cruise port, as promised, and returned to the port with plenty of time for shopping.
This was our 2nd time enjoying this excursion and will definitely be back next time!

We scheduled very last minute (about 30 min before!) a snorkeling excursion with Cozumel Cruise Excursions. Cristina got our family of four scheduled on the boat and we were picked up right at the pier at our resort.
Ricardo, Alejandra and Jesus were our crew and they made the trip SO much fun! They are very knowledgeable and safety conscious. Our first stop was at a spot that was a little rough water and some of us were a bit uneasy. Ricky called the boat right back for us and made sure everyone was comfortable, especially my young daughter. He was so kind and patient. The other three spots were perfect and we were able to see amazing underwater scenes. We were fortunate to see a sea turtle, a few rays, starfish and many other beautiful sea creatures and of course the reef! Alejandra captured lots of photos for memories and we were able to purchase digital copies right on the boat at very reasonable prices.
When we were finished with the snorkeling, the crew took us to El Cielo which was breathtaking! Gorgeous clear blue waters and soft sandy bottom where we were able to wade in the water and enjoy drinks and some delicious freshly made (right there on the boat by our Captain Jesus!) guacamole and pico with chips!
This was definitely the highlight of our trip and we highly recommend Cozumel Cruise Excursions! Ask for Ricky, Alejandra and Jesus for an unforgettable and enjoyable time!

We did the snorkelling tour. We came over from Playa on the Ferry and we’re met as promised at the designated meeting point and taken to the harbour. The snorkelling was fantastic! Well worth doing! Followed by the sandbar, our tour promised beer, tequila, vodka, but we were only offered beer which I don’t drink so had to stick to soft drinks. Guacamole and ceviche was fabulous and prepared on the boat along with fresh pineapple.
My only complaint was the guide didn’t interact at all, almost made me feel uncomfortable. Having done many many snorkelling tours I’m used to the guide being more friendly and interactive and also pointing things out whilst in the water, this was just following her and getting back on the boat, it would have been nice to be told even if it was afterwards some of what we had seen. Once back on the boat she just switched off until the next stop. The Captain was good although no help whatsoever when trying to get back on the boat, more worried about the fins being handed back, it’s not easy getting up that ladder when the boats rocking and you have fins in your hand (and in my case knee issues). Overall I would recommend as it was all about the snorkelling which was absolutely stunning, the water clarity was amazing and we saw many beautiful fish, starfish and rays. On return to the harbour we were dropped back to the ferry port.
