Juan was awesome. I was terrified and he made the experience easy and effortless. I almost didn't go (out of fear) and I'm so glad that he convinced me to do it. He was right next to me the whole time, which made me able to relax and truly enjoy the experience. thank you so much!! you are the best!!!!

I have never dived before and my family scheduled a dive with Juan. I was very nervous about going diving. Juan started with explaining all the equipment and details of what we would be doing. He is a very good teacher. He gave us time to get used to everything and practice in shallow water very close to the pier. During the dive, he was so patient and actually had to hold my hand the whole time (my fault, not his). I had a hard time relaxing and controlling my breathing so I kept on floating. Juan made sure that I was able to stay down, that I was doing ok and I was so grateful to have his guidance the whole time. The dive was beautiful! Tons of coral and lots of fish. I need more experience and practice but this was an incredible first time! I highly recommend Juan and his entire team.

My 13 year old son and I had a great time taking our Open Water SCUBA Certification course with Juan at Cozumel Divers. Juan walked us through all of the basics, making sure we understood all of the important safety information, and then led us on some great training dives in the beautiful waters of Cozumel. Highly recommended!

I setup my booking with Juan over a month prior to my trip. I paid in full for both snorkeling and parasailing for my group of 4 adults. On the day of our excursions we showed up to the designated pier 30 minutes prior to our meet time and sat there for over an hour but Juan did not show. I tried calling but did not receive an answer. Finally, a gentleman from another excursions group told me that Juan's office was within walking distance so off I went. Upon arrival at the office a man was behind the desk, he informed me that Juan was in England and could not be reached. He stated that he did not work for the company then I pointed out that he was wearing a company shirt with the company logo and he changed his tune saying he only worked on the scuba diving side. I showed him my receipt from PayPal and all of my emails between Juan and myself. He called the owner and after lots of discussion and back and forth we ended up being able to start our excursions. The parasailing crew was great as was the snorkeling guides. The office end of this company is very disorganized. I was told we had to take a taxi downtown to Aqua Safari Pier but as soon as we got into the Parasailing boat we went straight over and picked up a group at the pier next to the cruise ship we got off of. I would definitely think twice before booking with them!!!

My husband and I are both certified divers. Our teenage boys are not and so we arranged for my husband to do a 2 tank dive alongside our boys 2 tank discovery dive. They were the only divers that day. The water was clear and they raved about the reefs and fish. Martin was fantastic and even offered to swap out after the first dive so I could go with my boys. I was at Palancar Beach with my other children. My boys chose to the second dive with their dad since I am a nervous Nelly. They were in trouble when I found out. I would highly recommend them especially if you have non divers in your group. You can all go to Palancar Beach and they will pick up the divers from the beach.

My family of six (2 adults and 4 teens) stayed at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya. Everywhere you go someone wants to sell you an excursion! We decided to make our own adventure! We took a cab to Playa De Carmen $50, then we bought tickets on the ferry to Cozumel $18 round trip per person, and rented two jeeps $65 each for the day!!!! It was AWESOME! We drove around the whole island stopping at the various beach bar/ restaurants and had a drink and a snack on the beach! My son and I scuba dived at Panacar Reef....hands down the best scuba diving I have ever seen! We encountered a sea turtle, lobsters, eagle ray, and mountains of coral!!! Truly a trip of a life time!!!!!!

Porfilio was excellent in his instruction for us as first time scuba divers. He went over all safety facets to insure our safety, lead us on a wonderful exploration of the sea, pointed out interesting sea life we would have missed and overall seemed concerned and aware of our safety and comfort. The water was crystal clear & the temperature of a warm bath…amazing!!

This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life! He took his time and explained everything thoroughly so that everyone including my 10 year old son felt completely comfortable underwater. Once out there, the sea takes on a life of its own. It's indescribable!

Even though I am a licensed diver, I haven't SCUBA dived in almost 10 years! Portofillo explained the basics (and it all came back to me) and since we were diving so shallow, we didn't need to worry about too much.

You meet at the marina where the boat is and sign a few PADI papers while he explains all the SCUBA basics. For the Discover SCUBA option, we jumped in their truck and drove down the road a bit to a small beach area. You scoot into the shallow water & put your gear on, then Portofillo will then test you on clearing your mask and regulator. Once he's comfortable with your abilities and gear fitting, off you go! and swim out from the area - which is naturally protected from big waves. This area has tons of coral, fish and creatures! If he sees something cool, he will point it out to you and encourage the critters to move around a bit. Besides fish, I saw a prawn, big crab, eels and small stingrays!

These guys are extremely accommodating - my shoes got mixed up with a separate group whose van had returned to the marina. Portofillo flagged down their boat and met up with them to get them back for me! He also has recommendations for food and other activities - if you take them, be assured you will be taken care of at these other places! They call a taxi for you once you're done and off you go! I will definitely return to Cozumel after a refresher course and go on a deeper dive with them.
