We took a $25USD cab ride (1 to 4 people) from the cruise terminal to this beautiful beach. No fee at the beach other than to buy your beverages and food from them in exchange for chairs and some share of coconut trees. Beautiful beach for swimming and clean restrooms made this a great choice for uu.

We ate outside enjoying the view of the beach. The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was layback and inviting. After we ate, we took a swim in the crystal clear beach steps from where we were eating. The whole experience was perfect!

We came to Playa Palancar a week ago to enjoy the beach and have lunch while the rest of our group went golfing on Cozumel. A taxi to this beach was 350pesos for 5 people each way. They charge $10 for two chairs and a beach umbrella that you can use as long as you are there. There are plastic... More

We visited Cozumel during a cruise (6-26-16) and booked an excursion through Carnival called La Casa En La Playa - A Select Retreat which is a private part of Playa Palancar Beach. I can't say enough about this excursion, it was WONDERFUL!! Beautiful clean quiet beach w/ good snorkeling...and the staff treated us like royalty!! The food was fresh and... More

This is definitely a must stop on your visit to Cozumel. The beach and accommodations are free as long as you purchase something to eat or drink. So for $9.50 I had 3 chicken tacos, chips with salsa and guacamole, and a Coke and had access to the beach and snorkeling on the Palancar Reef, about 15 miles south of... More

We went to Palancar again on a cruise to Cozumel. The beach is beautiful and it seemed like a lot of the shells and rocks had been removed which made for a smoother entry in and out of the water. We spent the entire day there and had a relaxing time.

We came here for a day during a cruise ship stop and was recommended due to it's located a little further from the cruise ship ports so it doesn't get as crowded as most of the other places. The beach was gorgeous and so was the sand. The grounds were nice and plenty of shade if you needed it under... More

We arrived in Cozumel on the Carnival Dream on July 1, 2016. After some shopping at the port, we grabbed a taxi and headed to Playa Palancar. I read reviews before our trip and wanted a great snorkel trip. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff, iguanas and peacocks! We knew we found the right place. The snorkel boat was... More

This place is located at the South tip of the island, away from most of the tourist crowds. The beach was clean and the water was great. This is by no means a fancy beach club, so services and facilities are rather limited. But the place provides great local feel, which you would not find in nearby beach club locations.... More

Take a taxi from the port, 2 way approximately. 50 usd. 15 minutes far from the port and the center of cozumel. No entrance fee, sun loungers free but umbrellas 10 usd. Nice people, reasonable. Facilities. If you compare Mia playa , palancar is much much better.
