Beautiful Church

We saw the church when walking around. They keep the doors open so you may walk in anytime to see the church inside.

Worth peeking inside to see this quaint historic church. If you are Catholic experience a service in spanish.

We attended the 10:00 am Mass - what a devoted people! Although in Spanish, it's still well worth attending. The church is an open air building with beautiful statuary.

Locals and tourists arrive to worship or just sit in silence. So many locals attend service that they stand outside the open windows when the church is full. Very reverent place at the corner of a big shopping area at the Plaza.

From the minute you walk through the doors, you realize that this church is the real deal, and not somewhere that people feel obliged to attend, but rather look forward to going to every Sunday. The sermon is in Spanish, but we are in Mexico, so we can adapt our experience to that of the locals. There are no hymnals.... More

Cozumel was a simple fishing village before tourism. This Church is one of the few reminders of that more simple time. It is like a quiet oasis amid the hectic rush to sell food and drink and trinkets to the Tourists. It is also one of the few places on the island where you can encounter Local people on a... More

As a Catholic, I like visiting churches in other cities and countries as they give you a feel for the place you are visiting. This quaint little church was a welcome break from the chaos of the street where cruise ship passengers were swarming like ants. The church is small and clean and quiet. The decorations are not too much... More
