    Amazing experience!!
We had an incredible time on this tour with a 3 generation family! Cannot recommend this enough. It seemed a little expensive when I was booking, and it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. The best thing we did in Cozumel. Everyone in our group age 6-75 had a great time…between learning about pearls, speed snorkeling, playing on the totally uninhabited shoreline, the gorgeous boat ride there and back, and just generally feeling like you were friends with the incredibly cool folks running the Pearl farm. A perfect experience!!

    Incredible adventure! Gorgeous remote location!
We absolutely loved the Pearl Farm!! The boat leaves a pier in San Miguel to their remote location. The ride was beautiful and along the way we stopped to see and learn about a marooned boat. Once there we learned about their family, the making of their pearl farm and the different types of pearls and how they are created, all of which was very interesting. Afterwards, we speed snorkeled to see the farm, coral, and sealife. We saw 3 or 4 starfish which was awesome!! Then back to their place where we got to enjoy hanging out in the beautiful turquoise water and white sandbar. It was absolutely gorgeous!! Then a delicious lunch and more time to enjoy the beach and water before heading back. The sister and brother team were very kind, friendly and made us all feel so welcome! This adventure was a huge highlight of our trip and we would 100% recommend.

    Memorable experience !!
My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Pearl farm. The beach is beautiful, Maria and Pancho did everything to make us feel welcome. Maria gave us an interesting presentation, and we learned about the history of the farm and the process of making pearls. We didn't get to snorkel due to the weather, but everyone had a great time, and we will definitely be back to swim in beautiful turquoise water and enjoy each other company again! Thank you !!

One of the best tours we've been on!
My wife and I, plus two adult children and a girlfriend, took this excursion when visiting on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. I cannot say enough positive things about this experience. It is not a tour sold by the cruise line and it shows. It is for a very limited number of people and the experience is very personal. If you want to experience the Caribbean in a non cattle call away, this is the tour to take. The owner Poncho led the tour and he was assisted by Maria. They both were very professional and we never felt rushed. The snorkeling was fun, learning about the Pearl Farm was educational as well as fun, and Pancho makes a great cheeseburger! It's not the cheapest tour in the book, but the money is well spent. Even the boat ride to and from the Pearl Farm was fun, and gave you a real feel for the surroundings. We would highly recommend this tour.

A day of peace, tranquility and education
Starting with a boat trip to the northern most section of Cozumel, inaccessible by car, we traveled 45 minutes. The brilliance of the blue and green water and cloudless sky made this part of the trip. Our hosts started with education on the world of pearls and their unique niche. And then to their lab for their process. Finally lunch was prepared for us before our return to our marina. Fabulous day!

    Best pre-bday celebration
I was looking forward to booking this after reading great reviews online for our upcoming Carribean cruise with Norwegian Joy. I was able to celebrate my pre-birthday on the beautiful family owned Cozumel Pearl Farm on 3/14/24 since we’d be on sea day on my actual bday. Since the first email, Isabel was very helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly. Even on the day of the tour we were running 15 mins late bc my daughter fell going down the stairs on the cruise. They group was so patient waiting for us at the marina. It was my teen daughter and her cousin along with another group of 4 lovely ladies on the tour. We felt very safe with Isabel and her brother our captain during the 45 min choppy ride. It went pretty fast since watching the sea was mesmerizing. The island did not disappoint with its gorgeous shades of blue and turquoise waters. We learned a lot of the family history and pearl making along with the damages the storm had caused in the past and innovative ways the engineer father and brother moved forward in rebuilding. Isabel shared their goal is to get an another boat and I hope and pray they do so soon. Due to the rough waters our snorkeling was unfortunately cancelled and we took a tranquil walk to the wishing tree. I loved that Isabel took photos and videos which she air dropped at the end of our day. Since I don’t eat meat they substituted to plant based burger. We were also given yummy fruits w/ tajin (which so happens to be my daughter’s fav) Mexican snacks, water, sodas and beers. It was such a nice surprise when I was presented a cake and a sparkler! Best memory I will hold forever. We hope to visit again to see Cozumel Farm expand and get the recognition and support it deserves. Thank you for wonderful 43rd birthday experience!! ***Pls don’t forget to bring cash for tips.

    Robinson Crusoe experience
Wonderful excursion. Eco tourism at its very best. Just a handful of people in a small boat, we were taken to a truly beautiful beach where Isobel explained the details ofpearl production. Afterwards a snorkelling trip to see the oysters in situ followed by lunch on the beach with entertainment from the friendly local raccoon . Then time to swim or just laze about in hammocks and soak up the atmosphere. A truly Robinson Crusoe experience and a lovely friendly family who are passionate about heir business and the environment.

One of the best days of our lives
My husband and I agree this was one of the best days of our lives. The pearl farm is in a desolate absolutely amazing part of the island. I wish I could live there forever. It is so beautiful! Imagine the most beautiful blue Caribbean water you can think of and it is more beautiful than that! I loved the science of the growing of pearls the swimming and snorkeling, beers, lunch, and the owners. On a scale of 1-10 it is an 11!

    Perfecto!!
This was one of the most magical days of my life! A must do!! Isabel and her team are absolutely amazing and so passionate about their dream of Pearl excavating and showing/teaching exactly how it is done. From the boat ride to the farm, learning from Maria about the history, speed snorkeling to see their hard work under the sea to a relaxing time at the sandbar in the beautiful Caribbean Sea and a wonderful lunch with great conversation! One of the best days ever!! 🥰

At first I wanted to state that we did not participate on the tour. Last year when the business was not that good we wanted to take the tour and had the same weight as we are right now and everything was okay but sadly the two of us canceled due to bad weather. Yes we on the heavier side but you're not handicapped and can swim and if you believe it or not , we are sporty. So this year we wanted to book again. We did read the description of the tour where no weight limit was posted but the tour got $20 more expensive. So we wanted to make a reservation again and at first there was availability. Suddenly after we rode our weight the tour was fully booked. This year there must be more business and probably try to get more people on the boat which is kind of understandable. But if you want to do that then you should put a weight limit on your tour and not discriminate after you already said you had space. That is bad business behavior, lying to a customer and very hurtful. Friends of us who also wanted to go suddenly had availability for the same day and the same time.

Hello Steffi This is Isabel, I am part of the family that owns the Pearl Farm and was communicating with you through email. First of all we deeply apologize that you had such a bad experience making a reservation, if we hurt you in any way, that was never our intention and we truly apologize if that was the case. As I tried to explain through our emails exchange the day you wanted to make a reservation, the reservation prior to yours that was confirmed increased the number of guest. (This does not happen very often). I did the mistake to write that we had availability that day but I was not aware that the other reservation would increase the number of people going to the farm and that was the reason why I could not continue to confirm your reservation. In every reservation inquiry we ask about the weights per person because we have a small boat and we have to make sure we stay under the secure weight limits of our boat. Your reservation with the change in the people of the first reservations, unfortunately surpassed our secure weight limit of the boat and for this reason I replied to your reservation inquiry that our tour was fully booked and explained the problem of the other reservation increasing unexpectedly the number of people and could not take your reservation and that we deeply apologize for the inconvenience this might cause. Couple of days later I received another reservation inquiry and accepted the reservation of your friend because it worked with the weight limit of our boat for that day. Your friend make a reservation for an adult and a child. We have days that we have more people joining our tours and we decide with the information we receive from every reservation inquiry if we can take a reservation or not. We take the safety of our guest very seriously even if that means we have to make hard decisions like this one and not being able to confirm a reservation and risk a bad TripAdvisor review Your safety and the safety of all our guest will always be our priority and we will never compromise that. We are working very hard to buy a bigger boat so that we don’t need to worry about the weight limit of our boat. Again we deeply apologize for having this bad reservation experience. Many Greetings Isabel

What a terrific experience. Isabel's passion and knowledge shines in this day-trip journey to the northern tip of the island. After embarking the good ship, La Ostra, and enjoying an idyllic voyage up the coast, we came ashore for a fascinating lesson in pearl history, cultivation and care. From there, a short boat ride to the "farm" found us snorkeling through a couple of reefs and the oysters. Returning to shore we were afforded a delicious burger (the lone vegetarian was also accommodated) and sides that were devoured with glee. More than a few soft and adult beverages were also consumed during this time by our group of seven. The ride back to the disembarkation point was serene and beautiful- a perfect period at the end of what we wished would have been a run-on sentence Thanks to captain Luis and the chef too!

This was the best day we had on our vacation by far!!! Forget the crowded beach clubs! This wonderful family takes you to their private land and literally treats you like you have been friends forever. First the amazing boat ride to their pearl farm. The beautiful blue colors of the Caribbean Sea on the way is breathtaking. Once there, they tell you about their family business, the struggles they went through hurricane Wilma and the inventions they came up with to withstand any more hurricanes. They teach you about the very interesting process of growing the pearls. Next, they take you snorkeling (by slowly pulling you by their boat so no strenuous work just a relaxing ride). When we returned to the beach we had a lovely lunch and then the rest of the time to relax in hammocks or enjoy the Gorgeous beach and crystal clear water. I truly feel as though I have made a new friend and contact in Mexico. Then to end your day, you get to see all the beautiful colors of the sea on the way back home. I know that the next time I am in Cancun or Cozumel, the first thing I will do is book to go back and visit with them again! Just go…you will thank me later.

We visited the farm with our teenage son and the entire experience was fantastic! The boat ride to and from the farm was gorgeous. The snorkeling was great and the beach is spectacular! The owner did a wonderful job of explaining the process of how the pearls are created and you can even buy her pearl jewelry and take a little piece of the farm home with you. I highly recommend visiting while in Cozumel.

FANTASTIC!!!
Isabel and her family did not disappoint for the day. We were greeted by Isabel at the marina north of San Miguel. The boat is small but cozy and a great way to transit to their property. Isabel pointed out interesting sights along the way and in their continued effort to conserve the beauty of Cozumel, we collected some trash.

When we arrived at the beautiful property we were offered a snack and beverages. We relaxed for a moment and then Isabel explained the history and process of culturing a pearl. She provided a history of how their family came to their pearl farm venture. Isabel has a great passion for her family and the business and it is a great story.

Speed snorkeling was next. Isabel and the crew made sure everyone was comfortable and understood what we were doing and where we would be going. It was great, I would enjoy more time with this activity.

Lunch is served. Simple but filling. The hamburger was properly prepared with a quality bun and condiments. The pineapple sliced added great flavor and will be an addition to my future grilling at home. The conversation was abundant and of great quality and education. Thank you to our group. We ended the day with free time, leaving our mark on a conch shell and hanging out on the sandbar. If you are interested in purchasing jewelry made with Isabels' family pearl ask her about it, she is not pushy and is accommodating to your requests. We were happy we found Isabel and her tour, it truly is a hidden gem in Cozumel. We are excited to return.

This sounded like an interesting place and it had very favorable reviews so we booked a visit. We were not disappointed. We were met at the dock at Puerto Abrigo by Laura our guide, her husband Pancho and the boat captain. It was a very pleasant 45 minute boat ride to the pearl farm (it's probably shorter than that typically, but there were some wind and waves on the northern tip of the island. The captain slowed down at that point and expertly navigated the boat in the waves. There is probably no safer place to be on the island than his boat).

There was fruit and drinks for us when we arrived. then we got to see how the farm operates and its history. Laura is incredibly knowledgeable and her presentation was very interesting. I thought I knew my way around bivalves, but I learned a ton that I'd have never known otherwise. We could not do the speed snorkeling over the oysters that day because of the high winds, but instead went for a walk along the beach to a nearby lagoon. There was a lot to see there. After our walk, we ate lunch and had free time. I think everyone opted to snorkel off of the beach. Find the grass and you'll find fish and crabs. My daughter had never snorkeled before but picked it up quickly. We enjoyed the company of a couple of friendly labs, Ganesh and Goliath, in the water. The schedule was laid back. I think the itinerary calls for a return to the dock at 4? None of us had any place to be, so we were able to snorkel well past the scheduled departure. I think we got back to Puerto Abrigo around 6.

This is a part of the island few visitors get to see. Our guides were the perfect people to show it to us. I would do this trip again without hesitation. If you get a chance, book this trip; you will enjoy it and learn a lot.

We did this tour last Monday and it was the perfect experience for the day after having completed the Iron Man 70.3 Cozumel. Started with the gorgeous boat ride to the north of the island where the farm is located. The minute you get off the boat you realized how magic this place is. Pristine calm water and beautiful white sand beach. It is so relaxing to have that paradise for you alone. The presentation given by Isabel about the history of the farm and their project goals is so informative. She is so Knowledgeable and best part is how easy going and friendly she is which makes you feel part of the project and part of the family from the moment you meet her. She even brought with her Ganesh (their labrador retriever) what a fun and well behave dog! The trip would not have been the same without him!

The “speed snorkeling” was just simply fun and exotic. This part of the island is so unique. There was just simply surprise after surprise and at the end of the day you just wish you could stay or spend more time there.

My wife and I and our friends were all very impressed on how well they treated us and we are forever thankful to the Cozumel Pearl Farm for sharing their family project with us and we will come back and see you again... we want to do the overnight tour!

Thank you Isabel and your crew for such an amazing experience... A+

We visited the Cozumel Pearl Farm during the pandemic in Sept. 2020. We had a group of 4, and I struggled between this excursion or a catamaran tour/snorkel to Passion Island. We were so HAPPY to have picked this tour. The day was so relaxing. The beach/water at the Pearl Farm is incredible. The grilled pineapple burgers were so good!! The family/owners were 2 of 4 that went to the island with us and they were so nice and welcoming. Laura did the Pearl tour and I never thought learning about Pearls would be so interesting. The employees they have that also accompanied us to the island were so nice as well. The speed snorkeling was really nice. We saw some beautiful reefs and several LARGE starfish. We did not regret anything about this tour and would recommend it to those looking for a laid back kind of day.

I loved this tour and my family loved it also. This tour was to a rugged and beautiful part of the island. It started with trip up the coast in a boat to the farm. We got further and further away from the city until we were in a completely isolated area only accessible by boat.

I loved to learn things and see how things are done. I found it fascinating on how the farm was founded and the journey they took to produce pearls. The methods are interesting and the story of the journey is compelling. We got to see how things were done and they took us out into the ocean to snorkel and see their towers.

It was a nice lunch and then some nice down time to browse around.

It was such a good day and we were all glad that we did it.

That hasn't already been said? There is something very magical about this part of Cozumel. The water is a glorious turquoise blue that turns to an amazing green when the light hits it.
Isobel and Pancho make this a very delightful tour. The farm is a family affair, with Dad and Pancho being the engineers that make things work and Isobel the marine biologist and teacher.
We learned a lot about oysters, harvesting and pearls, all done in a very infectious way. The hamburger at lunch was as delicious as everyone noted.
We were unable to go snorkelling, unfortunately, due to the ocean not cooperating, None of these we had a very enjoyable day and encourage everyone to take a day to chill at the farm.
