The visit was extremely interesting, fun and tasty. My husband and I visited with our teenage daughter and 11 year old and they both enjoyed the tour. It may be a bit long for younger children but otherwise it is worth the trip there.

Excellent couple tour. We gained a wealth of knowledge on the history of chocolate and making of chocolate. We enjoyed making our own chocolates. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had so much fun. As others have stated, we booked this based upon other reviews. We learned all about chocolate, from the tree, the flowers, the pod, the processing, and the taste. We were able to ask questions and everything was explained so thoroughly....More

There isn't much I can say about Kaokao that hasn't been said already. I visited the factory in April with my new husband (honeymoon trip!) while in port. We both are chocolate fanatics so we thought we'd give it a go because chocolate. The ride...More

As soon as we walked through the door the entire staff made us feel welcome. We were escorted into the “kitchen” or “classroom” to learn the history of chocalate and then we made our own chocalate from the beans! Eduardo was fabulous. I was impressed...More

We went twice and just walked in. I’m not sure if there is a strict schedule. I do know they work with the cruise ships.

Cozumel is an island off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula across from Playa del Carmen. It is a 40 minute ferry ride from Playa del Carmen and they leave every hour usually and there are a couple of ferry lines available.
