Miguel was our guide and he was very experienced. He showed us a Mayan home, some Mayan cooking, and customs. We were shown how the Mayan processed kaokao, were given samples and a chance to buy some in the gift store ($8 for a candy bar). The chocolate candy (many varieties ) were delicious.

Our group of 4 adults and 5 kids ages 7-14 had a good time. Informative, hands-on, authentic and fun for all ages. Plus, we still had time to squeeze in a few hours at the beach b4 heading back on ship... Don't forget to pick up some handcrafted chocolate soaps, snack, ingredients, etc from the souvenir shop!

We visited the Chocolate factory as part of an excursion with the cruise ship and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so much fun watching them make chocolate and tasting it and making your own version. We had a great day

A very short drive from the Cruise Ship. Lucy, the presenter, was very knowledgeable and taught us how to make our own chocolate bar in a fun and humourous way! We ground our own cocoa beans and got to take it with us at the end of the tour. Then we sampled all their chocolates with pairings of wine. Afterwards,... More

My family and I decided to go on the factory tour. I didn't know what to expect but it was not exactly a factory tour. It is a presentation on the history of chocolate and the rest of the time was taking raw cocoa beans that had been chopped and while he roasted them in the microwave we got hair... More

wow. Had no idea of the process of making chocolate. we had a hands on experience of making chocolate, right from the bean state. after, had a wine and chocolate pairing. Really informative. 4 of us on this tour were totally impressed by the presentation, information and experience. FYI. I'm not a sweet candy/chocolate person, but this hooked me. Tour... More

Were here May 9, 2016 on tour with Fun Taxi Tour (Daniel Enrique Leon Diaz). It's very educational and a fun activity for the family. Have recommended to several people.

This was such a fun time for our whole family ! This was one of the main highlights of our brief stay in Cozumel. My wife and I went with our three teenage children (17,15,12), and I can say that we all absolutely enjoyed this experience ! Miguel did an excellent job of conveying to us (in English) a short... Our one-hour tour of the Kaokao Chocolate Factory taught us the history of chocolate in Mexico and with instructions and guidance, we ground the cocoa beans, mixed ingredients and pressed our chocolate into a disc that makes yummy hot chocolate! Fun for the whole family. No need to bring your camera, a professional photographer will capture your memories on film... More
