I was recently at Marine World doing my Deep Spec with my favorite instructor, José (Joe) and was really impressed with this operation! The team was so efficient in getting everyone and everything on and off the boats, especially considering the weather was less than desirable. The boats were in great shape and provided a nice smooth ride out to the dive sites. Everyone was so nice and seemed to be in a great mood. As I would always expect from José, he challenged me to continue to improve throughout the course, which included finally getting a new mask that fit me better! Those that dive know new masks can be miserable to dive with because they are always fogging up, but Jorge (99% sure it was him) took my mask when we were on the boat and scrubbed it like there was no tomorrow. Needless to say, I have rarely have had a dive without an OUNCE of fog, and the dives after that were PERFECT! Not to mention, clearly seeing those Splendid Toadfish José always seems to find was wonderful! Thanks José and Marine World Team for a great Deep Spec experience! Can't wait to bring the family back! (Maybe we will get them to finally do AOW or Deep Spec!) ;)

Very good diver operation on the whole. Good variety of dive sites, dive guides were excellent. My one criticism is that the record-keeping in the front office is terrible. When you pay the marine park fee, don't ask for but DEMAND a receipt in writing and remember the name of the individual you paid. The shop will only accept cash payment, and with groups of divers they are very bad about recording who has paid the fee and who has not. As a result of their sloppy record-keeping I was asked to pay the fee 3 separate times, which I had already paid the first time.

We go to Cozumel yearly in October with a group of scuba divers that range from advanced and seasoned to beginners (for 20+years). This year we did 2 weeks in July and 1 week in October. We always dive with Cozumel Marine World. They have experienced staff and an efficient operation. They are always professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. The boat staff go above and beyond to make sure your dive is as effortless and productive as possible. The boats are comfortable and spacious. The divemasters are all experienced at Cozumel diving and make sure you see abundant, beautiful sea life. Highly recommend this team!

Arriving with the 7am ferry from Playa del Carmen my husband (90 dives AOWD) and I (190 dives self-reliant) were the last of 16 divers to get to the shop. Weights in hand, disclaimer signed and off to the boat cluttered with equipment, beginner divers and headless chicken crew. I checked for DIN tanks, my husband for sitemount tanks - none was there (dives were prebooked by our diveshop i Playa). When asking for the right tanks and stressing that we did not want to leave the port unless all equipment was ready and approved by us, the guy in charge started litterally rolling his eyes, gesturing and making us feel exactly like the cattle they were treating us as. The waves were quite bad and with so many new divers on the boat + a crew that obviously did not take us or our safety serious, we decided to grab our gear, leave the boat and never come back.

Sadly it was my worst diving experience. In the beginning, everyone from the crew felt welcoming. While trying on my gear beforehand in the shop, I already said that my fins were a bit too big. I got smaller ones that were definitely too small. The third pair felt somewere in between, but they didn't have any other choice. So I guess you already feel it coming.. While descending during my first dive, I lost my right fin after a couple of minutes. There was only one instructor, and after a lot of signaling that I wasn't OK, he only noticed about 5 minutes afterward that my fin was missing. He did offer to give me his, but I noticed it would be way too big for me. So, with a strong current and passing through small caves, I finished my dive. I got more help from a fellow diver (that apparently owned his own dive shop in the US) than from the dive instructor. On the boat they only had 1 extra pair of fins that were too big for me. So I had the choice, dive with 1 fin or skip the dive. And as a cherry on top, they made me pay for the fin. After providing me with a bad size and offering no other options.

Because I don't have a dive computer, the instructor had instructed me to stay by his side for the 3 minute safety stop. After completing this, he signaled (as comunicated on the boat) me that I could go further up. On the boat he told me that I didn't complete the safety stop. I was completely in shock, I had trusted him for my safety stop and had listened closely for his instructions.. So for the second dive, I asked for clear instructions. When it was time I used the manometer to determine the depth and then he would tell me when 3 minutes had passed. After a lot of signaling from him for me to go up, it turned out the manometer wasn't working properly and I was already low on air..

In conclusion, this was my worst experience due to lack of good communication and safety. This should ALWAYS be number one priorities when diving.

Cozumel Marin World is part of my life. From the first time I came to Cozumel in 1999, I fell in love with the quantity and diversity of marine life on this island, the quality of the water, the temperature and, above all, Jorge Marin's professionalism and commitment to offering a first-class diving service that is not only fun or educational, but also enlightening and, above all, safe. Diving with my family under the care of CMW is the best, as I can share the feeling that diving gives me with my children with total confidence. Whenever I can, I dive with Cozumel Marin World!

Love diving with this company. Extreme Sports Scuba uses them for our dive trips. They KNOW where to takes us to see so much sea life, the reefs, swim through cave, sunken ship etc.
2 master divers are with us at all times and watch us closely and show us sea life we might miss when swimming by.
Safety 1st.... and I know I am SAFE diving with them. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Jaime dive master took great care of us for five days. Including a night dive. The dive masters had extra weights for those who underestimated. Made us feel like family. We went with a group of 25 from Joplin, MO divided into two boats.

Tried to get hold on them via email to book some dives in November. Had to send a reminder after a week to get a first response. Then was referred to their sales manager Kathia who ignored about 5 of my emails. Never got any response from her. After two emails Alex, one of the owners, also didn't respond to my emails anymore. Apparently don't need any customers.

This was my first real dive experience went with Underwater Phantaseas for a week. Jorge and Manuel were awesome and I learned so much and really built my confidence and I'm even more excited to dive now. This is the place to go if you're a novice or an experienced diver.
