Sorry, I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I don't travel with children. However, I can answer some of your questions. I haven't stayed at the Playa Azul, so I really can't speak to what they have as far as hoops or tennis. The snorkeling out front was really good. You can drift and swim up and down that area, the current isn't (normally) very strong. There is a wall and rocks galore for marine live to live in. Saw all kinds, including a lion fish, and the largest hermit crab I have ever seen. All the usual fish you would expect, some fish that mimicked the rocks they sat on. Every snorkel place on Cozumel has it's its own unique identity. I feel I have missed out if I haven't sampled around, and I "need" to do Playa Azul each trip. I took the walking /bike path into town, walking. There is shade to be had along the way. It is removed from the road, so I didn't feel like a wayward car would hit me. Got to see some iguanas along the way! I did enjoy that walk. It was a couple/several mile walk to town. Took a cab the rest of the time. I suspect that croc was a very rare event, hoping I get to see such an event at some point in time. Typically, they have folks who relocate crocs to less populated areas that work better for crocs anyways. I suspect the AC will work well there. They are one of the better respected resorts, I can not imagine the AC doesn't work well. Being from Maine, AC is always on my radar down there.
