Our school teacher tour guide, Jerry, was terrific. Learned about how each region of Mexico has different food and tried the local specialties. We went to 6 different restaurants/food stands and each one had their own specialty. Great to have a chance to get away from the cruise ship retail strip and see the real Cozumel. Highly recommend!

Gerry, our guide took us to 6 different food venues. The food was excellent and his explanation of the wonderful fresh food added to the enjoyable and educational experience. Highly recommend for foodies and those who want to experience the culture of Cozumel and Mexico.

Our guide, Gerry, met us at the MEGA store in San Miguel. He was right on time and our group, which numbered 5 people entered the comfortable van he had provided. We soon left the tourist area and entered into the streets, homes and businesses that sit next to each other in clean, well maintained neighborhoods. Our first stop was... More

What a find! This tour was everything the reviews stated. Informative, thought provoking, funny, honest and delicious food. If you want to break away from the crassness that is the tourist area of Cozumel and experience the "real" side, then this tour ticks all the boxes.

We might have initially thought we were going on a cooking course but that was my mistake - it was an eating course! Our guide was great and he was very informative throughout the trip

A great alternative to walking with the masses in Cozumel when 7 cruise ships are in port. Jerry, our fun foodie guide brought us to several local eateries and shared a true love and excitement about the honest cuisine of this Mexican paradise. The array of options were endless and delicious. On most other food tours my bride and I... More

We have cooked with Josefina twice before so this visit we decided on the Cozumel Chef-Food tour. We had Jerry as our guide and he was very knowledgeable. We had 5 stops at places we would never have found without this tour. The first stop was a quesadilla with nogales and corn fungus. Then cochinita pibil, then lime soup, and... More

We had so much fun on this tour! Jerry was a great guide, there was great food, a small tour group and a lot of information. If you are looking for an excursion that is like none other, this is the one. It was like a roving meal with five different stops, visiting a local market, and learning about the... More

We had done many food tours and this was without a doubt the worst food tour that we experienced. A food tour should be more than food. On all other food tours we were not only exposed to the area’s food, we wee exposed to its history. The foods we sampled on other tours were not uni-dimensional. On this tour... More

Thank you for your feedback. Not all food tours are created equal and it is unfortunate that you came to this tour with expectations based on someone else’s business. I too have taken a variety of food tours all over the world and all are different - some shopping inspired (including coupons to shop at the vendors, with less tasting... More

I always enjoy finding food tours while on vacation! It gives me the opportunity not only to taste great food but to get the history, understanding and appreciation for the local people. Today's tour was amazing. We visited four restaurants, a bakery and we stopped at a food market. We sampled foods that the locals eat (shrimp, octopus, cactus, conch,... More
