We loved the little local restaurants, each with their unique offerings to sample... the foods were wonderful certainly. I especially enjoyed the “Limon Sopa” and the Fried Red Snapper The unexpected icing on the cake was when Gerardo took us through a delightful local food market full of venders. He showed us unique vegetables & “frutas” but the meat butcher shop and the multiple fish & seafood venders... wow! What an assortment of unique fresh fishes! As scuba divers, this was a highlight. We’ll be visiting that market again before leaving the island! On a separate but final note Gerry’s friendliness we found to be common everywhere he took us with the Restaurant owners & workers. In fact, we notably felt very safe after the tour when we launched out throughout the island to experience it & eat at local roadside venders! Great people... a great island ... a great experience! Thank you Gerardo!

Thank you for your AMAZING review! We very much appreciate the love! I am so glad you got a chance to try the regional cuisine of the area and that Gerardo showed you what its like to be a local and how locals treat our visitors and each other. You are absolutely right there is a general friendliness that is found everywhere on the island. And that is a HUGE compliment to be a highlight during your dive visit ;) We hope you visit us again soon!

My boyfriend and I had Gerry as our tour guide, and we're happy to say that his tour made our day trip to Cozumel one of the best days of the entire trip! We have always wanted to explore authentic Mexican cuisine and WOW, were we amazed at what it has to offer. We started off at a taqueria (had cactus quesadillas + huitlacoche quesadillas), followed by the best pork tacos of my life. Then, we visited a tortilla factory where my view of what corn tortillas changed forever. Afterwards, we had lima soup, fried hog fish, and finished off at a bakery. Thank god we didn't eat before the tour because we were STUFFED (in a good way) by the end of it. Thank you Gerry again for the amazing tour, and thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge of Cozumel cuisine!

My sister, cousin and I went to Josefinas home for this excursion while on our cruise. It was the most fun and we enjoyed learning how to make tortillas, sauces, black beans and much more. Then we got to eat everything. Yummy!!! It is located on trip advisor. Not a cruise excursion. Make sure when booking this that she only takes 8-10 people. Great day!!
