My wife and I had the pleasure of booking the Snorkel and catamaran package with Tortuga tours that was booked through Cozumel tours. This was a 4 hour package that included the catamaran tour, snorkeling, snack and drinks. This is a mid sized boat, but sat the 12 or so guests comfortably. It arrived on time however some of the guests did not so we were a few minutes late getting on the water. Immediately after taking off, we were provided with an overview of what we would be doing along with a safety talk, and introductions to the crew.
We had 3 stops on our tour. At each of the snorkeling stops (equip provided) we were given clear instructions on what we would see as well as the snorkeling safety rules. Very professional. The snorkeling was fantastic with lots of fish as well as seeing some great ocean bottom structures.
After the snorkeling was complete, it turned into a bit more of a relaxed party atmosphere, and the music turned up. we were provided with drinks and snacks; lots of great cervice and chips and drinks of our choice, as many as we wanted.
We were lucky enough to see a small group of dolphins that we followed as the were playing alongside our boat.
There is a photographer within the crew that takes fantastic photos during the snorkeling. We couldn't resist buying some.
Back to the dock on time, after a fantastic afternoon on the water.
This was an event that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Snorkel excursion. Everything was excellent, but to me our snorkeling leader and the photographer stood out.

Absolutely, Absolutely use this company!! We did the private Jeep Tour which was cheaper than what the cruise line was doing by far but we beat all the cruisers to all the places so everywhere we went was not crowded until we were done.
What we did in 4.5 hours-
Toured San Gervasio - privately as well
Tequila Tasting- brought home some fantastic Tequila
Went sight seeing on the island all around the majority of the island (minus the jungle areas **Next trip!!)
Went shopping
And had a private lunch on the beach at a fantastic restaurant with the most amazing view!!!!
Javier and Danny were so knowledgeable and really made us feel special. Javier really knew the island and the people and it made each stop memorable and personalized!! WE cannot wait to come back again!!!!! Thanks so much for making our vacation so special!!

We took the private Chichen Itza tour. We stayed in Cozumel and met the tour guide at the ferry which went smoothly. Overall, it was just too long of a day. I thought taking the private tour would make it bearable vs. taking the bus with all the other tourists but I'm not sure it was worth it. Chichen Itza is a long drive from Playa del Carmen even if you take the toll road. I had read all the wonderful reviews and think my expectations were too high. Our guide was perfectly fine, very knowledgeable and kind but wasn't as time conscious as we needed when we had a ferry to catch. Also, I wasn't prepared for the vendors at Chichen Itza. Unfortunately, it really takes away from the experience and added to the stress of the day. Lunch was fine but I would have preferred something quick since we had emphasized our desire to make the ferry at a certain time (which we missed). Lunch is also not included and that is not clear in the literature. Our guide did not order ahead like other reviews mentioned. I wish I had asked him to do so because it would have helped us save time. The Cenote we stopped at was fabulous!! It was hands down our favorite part of the tour. If we had to do it over again, we would just do a Cenote tour near Tulum. We did feel safe throughout the tour which was important to us.

Bit of a buyer beware for those thinking of using this your company. We booked a tour through Cozumel Tours and never got to go on our tour. We wanted to book an xrail tour for our stop in Cozumel but was told it was not available for that day and was offered jade caverns with beach break. We were happy with that choice and booked it.
We received instructions on where to meet but found out once we got there they were very vague. We were told to meet at Carls JR restaurant at the mall. We got off the ship very early to make sure we can figure out where our meeting point was and did find it with over an hour until our meeting time of 10:30. We decided to walk around and came back pretty quickly since only a few stores were open at this time. We saw a few other people meeting for tours, it was about 10am and a tour guide asked what tour we were on and we said jade cavern and beach and he said it was not his tour. It was still 30 minutes before our meeting time so we didn’t think too much of it. That guide left stating he was missing people but it was time to go at around 10:15. We saw another group forming and asked the guide and said it was not her tour either. She asked the meeting time and said don’t worry they will come. Well we waited until 11am and no one came. We tried calling the number that was left for while in Cozumel and it was out of service. With nothing left to try we walked back to the ship.
We emailed Cozumel tours and they stated they are just the middle man and to contact the company with the tour and the other tour company said you didn’t book with us, you booked with Cozumel Tours. No one will refund us. Be careful using this company because they will take your money and leave you without any help.

Our experience with Cozumel Tours was AMAZING!!! We booked the Private Jeep Tour for the Saturday after Thanksgiving when we were in Cozumel as a port stop with the Carnival Valor. Miguel was our tour guide, and he was wonderful! He gave us a couple of options on what to do, and we were able to choose the one that fit what we wanted to do. One of our favorite stops on the tour was at a roadside beach bar on the southern end of the island, where we had the best margarita and mojito ever! We enjoyed getting to just sit and enjoy the beach for a little while with our drinks, and the water was so wonderfully warm! Once we got back to our starting spot, we met Miguel's (very pregnant with twins!) wife and purchased an Arkansas backpack from her. We would DEFINITELY book with Cozumel tours again!!! HIGHLY recommended!!!

I booked a tour to visit Chichen Itza while vacationing in Cozumel. I thought it would save me some trouble to get the tour that includes round-trip ferry tickets. Oh did I go wrong! The tour guide was supposed to meet us at 0615 at the ferry station, but he never showed. So I waited from 0610 until almost 7 am, and there goes the first ferry off the island. Due to missing that ferry, I couldn't make it to PDC to get on the bus to continue to rest of my chicken Itza tour. I kept calling their office but that was before they opened, which was a waste.
I would not recommend Cozumel Tours because the person they contracted with was unreliable.

My wife and I booked a tour here for an atv excursion. We had some issues with our hotel (the electric panel caught on fire) and in the craziness of switching rooms etc I neglected to check our ticket for the correct day. When I did look at it I realized I missed our tour entirely. I reached out via live chat and email to see if there was anything that could be done for us. I honestly didn’t expect much as the ticket says about 8 times on it there’s no refunds for cancellations less than 36 hours etc. I fully expected to have to book and pay for the tour again because of my error. This was not the case they ended up switching us to the next day which was amazing. I spoke to multiple different reps and they were all very nice, professional, and over all wonderful. I’m not sure if we got lucky as far as rescheduling because of things being slower due to covid but it was very appreciated. The tour ended up being only my wife and I. The guides Alex and Ramon were wonderful. Alex was the mechanic and had limited English but still made it a point to communicate with us the best he could. Ramon was the main guide and he had a large amount of information for us and asked multiple times if there was anything we needed. Since we had extra time they even took us to a cave that was not on our scheduled tour. Over all it was a great experience for us and I would recommend doing it if it’s a tour you’re interested in. If not based on our experience with the tour company as a whole if the service we got is any where near the service they normally give I would highly suggest booking through them.

This review is ONLY in reference to the roundtrip airport transportation. I'm rating it as poor because it was tremendously overpriced and not worth what we paid. On the plus side, we got to where we needed to go in a safe and timely manner so that was nice.
For our family of four it was ~$95 USD for roundtrip transportation to a hotel that was about 7-8 minutes away. The van we traveled in from the airport was clean and comfortable. The return trip was in a taxi...they give you a voucher that you present to the cab driver for your payment.
If I had it to do over again, I would just cab to and from the airport. I think we paid more than double utilizing this as our method of transportation instead of hopping in a cab.
Bottom line: the service worked fine, but I would not purchase their airport transportation package again due to the high cost.

This tour took us to “Tequila Reyes” for a tequila tasting. We were skeptical about the tequila but it tasted very good! They sold us their “Family Reserve” Extra Anejo for $280 a bottle. I thought this was a bit much but decided to purchase one (my father bought 3 and was given the 4th). In the moment, I had noticed the color of the tequila was too dark, I had a feeling that something was added to the tequila but the flavor was very smooth and just a little sweet. I thought that maybe it was just really good tequila. It’s not.
The NOM on the bottle is fake. The Tequila is cut with sugar and almond. It’s probably not aged at all. The QR code is also fake. This entire tequila family “The Reyes” is a complete scam, El Jefe isn’t real, they don’t own the distillery that they tell you they do.
Anyways… do not buy tequila from them it’s a total scam to screw over gringos.

We had a great time on this tour. It was well run & the staff were great. Our kids loved the ATV's & the Jade Cenote. The time at the Cenote felt a bit rushed but it was fun nonetheless. The Tequila museum & talk was informative but a bit sale's pitchy. However, I wish I would have bought some of that Tequila in hindsight. It was really good. he lunch was very good & the beach was nice. We wished it had more sandy entry, but the water was warm & there were lots of fish to see and the kayaks were fun. All in all it was a 9 out 10.
Here is what I would improve on. The cost of the excursion was fair for what you got. The only extra cost disclosed is the $7 per person park entrance fee. But, there were a few items that felt a bit "gotcha" & really ran up the cost of the tour, making it feel a bit sneaky. Goggles & bandanas, not required but highly recommended for $5 each. (Family of 5 so that's another $50). Lockers for $5 (we needed 2 so another $10), & then when you finish there's the photos. Another $60 for memory stick of everything (and they were really good pictures). If they would have asked $40, I would have bought it, but $60 just felt like taking advantage after all the other little extra costs. We would have liked to have some of those images but not for that much more money.
Finally, the guides after the ATV'ing line everyone up and ask for an honest review for their boss on video. Who's going to give an honest review to the guy holding the camera? No one. It was weird, uncomfortable and strange ending, but, we'd go again. It was a highlight for the family.

What are the 3 BEST tours that you offer that are actually on the island and you don't have to go to Cancun or anything. It can be adventurous or just chilling with dolphins. I want the best ones.

Thank you for your review on the snorkeling reefs- how did you get to the snorkeling trip did you take a taxi to and from the port? I am iffy on doing that with my son- but trying to see if other have done it and their experience.
Thank you.
Hola, Alexis!
We would loooove to have the opportunity to share some beautiful moments with you and your son while we take you to an amazing Snorkeling trip to the colorful reefs in Cozumel :D!
As for the meeting location, it will totally depend on the snorkeling tour you're looking to book, for some of them we meet you just across the street from the cruise port, in some other cases we need to kindly ask you to meet us at a different location, but you don't need to worry about that, we will provide all the meeting instructions on the voucher once you book :)
All of the taxis are federal in Cozumel, so they are very secure!!
In order to give you a more personalized answer, please contact us directly, you can easily find Cozumel Tours' information at the top of this page. We're here to help!!

My cruise in January allows for only one morning visit in Cozumel. I have narrowed down my choice of tours to two, but would welcome comments and recommendations to help me pick THE one! One is called Best of Cozumel and offers San Gervaso followed by scenic drive round the island with a photo stop at El Mirador, a stop at El Cedral and tequila and chocolate manufacturing stops. All sounds great to me, but then so does the Chankanaab National Park and Snorkelling adventure. I've read some comments from people disappointed with brief snorkelling time, but this tour specifies 45 mins snorkelling within 2 1/2 hrs free time in the park.

How credible in the company called Cozumel Tours? They have a significant discount for a dolphin experience and I'd like to make sure I am getting the same experience as the one posted by the cruise line.
