Great Tour - Bring Cash

We had amazing time on this tour! We visited 4 bars on the east side of the island. Our guide, Colleen, was very knowledgeable and funny! Loved her!We would DEFINITELY do this tour again. It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of downtown/the port areas.
Two things I wish I knew ahead of time:
*Bring a good bit of cash - especially small bills ($10 and under). For 2 people we spent between $15 and $40 per bar, depending on if we got food or not. I'd budget at least $150 for 2 people for food and drinks next time.
*One of the stops is at Coconuts, and it has pretty steep steps to get up to it. Wasnt a problem for us, but it would be hard for someone with mobility issues.

The Best Day!

We stopped in Cozumel in December while on a cruise. There were 7 ships there that day and we never seen the port so crowded. We hopped in a cab and met up with our Bar Hop tour. It was so nice to get away from all the crowds and go to the other side of the island. Our tour guide, Monet, was great! My husband and I had taken this tour and we took our two boys (ages 21 and 24) this time. On the drive out, Monet gave us a great background on the history of the area and answered any questions. All three bars we went to were great and we had the best day! Monet made sure we had the best service and gave us recommendations on food, drink, etc. The weather turned out beautiful and she took pictures of our family for me. My boys said this was the best day of our cruise and we will be taking this tour on future trips. If you want to get away from the crowded and experience another side of Cozumel this is a great tour. If you want beach time, you get that as well. The views are amazing! Thank you so much Cozumel Bar hop for a great day!

Bucket List Tour..... Check!

We had a great time on the bar hop and visiting the east side of the island which has been on our bucket list for a long. We are grateful we had the opportunity to enjoy it in a safe and convenient way with Lalo as our designated driver, and Colleen guiding us along the way. The tour is $57 pp ($27 deposit on website, $30 cash when you arrive at the downtown Senor Frogs); free shot at each bar; t-shirt for each person in your party. Bring cash to pay for food and extra drink. The Coconut Shrimp at El Pescador did not disappoint! Can't wait to become a Fo-Ho!!

The Bar hop was a fun experience. The people we had on the bus with us made it even better. Everyone dance and was singing made the whole experience even better.. Colleen explained everything about the Eastside of the island

Terrific way to spend the day in Cozumel! As others mention, Colleen is a hoot….. so knowledgeable, funny and informative about the island and a great guide. Spending our cruise excursion time on the Eastern side of Cozumel is a wonderfully enjoyable experience with four kewl local bars. Food and drinks might be somewhat pricey…… but hey the local economy is needing support! Take cash… as recommended as credit card usage is not available. And the T-shirt’s are a nice souvenir. Def wold do it again

Best way to see the island!

My sister suggested this to me and my lord, we had a great time! The tour stops at 4 locales with a complimentary shot at each stop. You are always welcome to purchase other food/drinks. Our guide, Monet, had let us know what each stop had that was worthy of trying. She was also very knowledgeable about the island and its history. By the end of our tour we had met everyone on the bar hop, singing and laughing all the way back to town. Not good with names but we had a great time with the couple from DC and the younger couple from Tampa Bay. I apologize for not remembering more but we had such a great time! And Debbie (not Deb 😂) thanks for the book recommendation! The Nightingale was perfect!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!

The absolute best! We had an amazing time last February on the bar hop! 40 people for my wife’s 50 birthday. That’s were the story begins. I needed information on a bus for 110 people to go on a catamaran in Cancun. I was having no luck. Several companies didn’t even return my request. So I reached out to Tom. Within a few day he connected me with a company the would accommodate us. Amazing service and integrity to help( even if he didn’t profit). Please if you read this go on a Bar Hop you will not be disappointed it’s amazingly fun. Thank you so much cheers !!!

Must do bar hop

Selected as an excursion independent of our cruise ship. Met at designated spot & tour guide met the needs of our ship that needed to leave an hour earlier than planned! Not rushed but thankful for their honoring our departure. 19 people on our tour - quiet then much more talkative after each stop! Great tequila shots to sample at 2nd & 4th stops. Coconuts was a great stop. Cheap drinks & food at each stop - 4 total quaint bars for about 50 minutes at each spot. Greg was a superb tour guide. Would not hesitate to repeat this excursion. We’d be a Foho and no longer a regular Ho! Cheaper than ship tours! “Really good margarita at stop #2”

You know the excursion is going to be special when the first thing the guide establishes is the safe word! Colleen was an amazing guide and we would hop with her anytime! The stops were all scenic with 2 stops having ocean access. Be prepared for a little pushy vendors at the first stop but after that no issues. Cash is king and figure $5-6 per beer and ~$15 for a large margarita. Coconut shrimp was $24 and delicious. There is a reason that there are so many repeat hoppers. Now we are Fo-Hos too!

Great Trip

We had a great time! The stops were beautiful beach side bars/shacks with wonderful people (of course serving wonderful drinks). The no-power thing made everything very charming. We ate lunch at the first stop, hung with the pets at the second stop, walked the beach at number three and had the peanut butter shots at number four. The views were beautiful, it was a great day. One of our group was a no-show. The guide Colleen helped us commemorate that by having the whole tour "autograph" his Tour T-shirt (there might have been a few colorful remarks...). We presented the shirt to him on the ship and I think it made his vacation. Colleen (and the driver Lalo?) were great with an obvious passion for the island and its colorful history. I recommend this tour to everyone!

Thanks for a great, five star review! I think you really made the most of each stop: eating, furry critters, beach walk and peanut butter tequila shots... what a great combination!
