This was a fun little outing about Cozumel and the animals at the park. We didn't get to see any alligators but we did climb to the top of the lighthouse and see some phenomenal views.

Celarain Lighthouse is located at the south end of the island within the Punta Sur Eco Beach Park, which has an entrance fee of $14/adult. There are a few picturesque locations on the drive to/from the lighthouse in the park as well as from the top of the lighthouse. There are several vendors selling a variety of goods/souvenirs in the... More

I really enjoyed taking the walk up the narrow lighthouse stairs to the top for an amazing 360 degree view of the south point of Cozumel. Took some great photos and enjoyed the cool wind at the top. Very interesting displays of the history of the lighthouse and maritime artifacts of the past. All together a great few hours.

Built in 1901, the Faro at Punta Celarain is a well-preserved, historical landmark that should be on your list of things to do in Cozumel. You can see the lighthouse from a couple of miles away when you enter the gate to the property. There is plenty of parking at the base of the structure. Walking up the 130-some stairs... More

Well worth it for the view from the top of the lighthouse. Just spectacular. ascent of the lighthouse not recommended for the claustrophobic or those who can't squeeze through tight spaces. Even if you skip the ascent, there's plenty to see: nice little museum and interesting beach.

We walked up all the steps of the Lighthouse and took pictures out the windows. The ocean was interesting and a bit rough. We shopped there and I purchased a black coral necklace. A Great Buy.

Punta Sur by any other name. Park closes at 3P, so come early. Lighthouse is open to the public, you can climb it, the stairs are steep and you'll have squeeze by each other going up and down. Not sure how we make it work, but we're able to climb it without a problem each and every time.
