I was surprised to find this area of the island gated where sightseers must pay a fee in order to pass through. The cost was $14 per adult and $8 per child. It's not very sensible for those that only want to see the lighthouse structure.

During our tour of the island, we went to the lighthouse. The view was amazing. There are hammocks to relax, once you have climbed to the top of the lighthouse.

Great experience, enjoyed learning the History & seeing the artifacts. We were able to sample some of the different Tequila's made in Cozumel.

Climbing to the top of the lighthouse was amazing. The view beyond words. Prior to the lighthouse we stopped on the road to look at where you can collect sea glass. We actually spotted a crocodile and bald eagle. Nature at its finest

This was a fun little outing about Cozumel and the animals at the park. We didn't get to see any alligators but we did climb to the top of the lighthouse and see some phenomenal views.

Celarain Lighthouse is located at the south end of the island within the Punta Sur Eco Beach Park, which has an entrance fee of $14/adult. There are a few picturesque locations on the drive to/from the lighthouse in the park as well as from the top of the lighthouse. There are several vendors selling a variety of goods/souvenirs in the... More

I really enjoyed taking the walk up the narrow lighthouse stairs to the top for an amazing 360 degree view of the south point of Cozumel. Took some great photos and enjoyed the cool wind at the top. Very interesting displays of the history of the lighthouse and maritime artifacts of the past. All together a great few hours.
