Was the cheapest shore excursion on Carnival, my first time in Cozumel. Short pleasant informative cultural attraction with miniature Mexico and a free delicious margarita. Also fun to watch adults try very hard to break the pinata before the flyers show. I had too many deserts on the cruise so decided to skip the chocolate tour which sounded very nice.

My family took an excursion off of a Norwegian Cruise Line ship here. It was entitled "The Joy of Chocolate". We felt as though coming to this little park was a bonus, because we had no idea this was in addition to the chocolate making we booked. They have an indoor and outdoor museum. It is a nice place to... More

Cultural gem on the crown of Cozumel. Discover Mexico is a beautifully woven tapestry of Mexican history as represented through art, exhibits and top notch tour guides. But that's only the beginning. The Chocolate tour was so much fun even before we got to make and eat our own chocolate bars! In between tours, make sure not to miss the... More

My mother booked this Shore Excursion because it sounded interesting. I admit I was dubious, but what a surprise! We were the only ones on the tour and our tour guide Martin made us feel like we were royalty. His passion for the history of Mexico was evident in the quality of the information he passed on to us. He... More

My boyfriend and I took the Joy of Chocolate tour with Martin that we scheduled through our cruise ship. I will say that we were the only younger people without being in a family. We did not mind since it was a leisure portion of our trip. Martin was absolutely incredible. He was very friendly, nice, and sweet. He made... More

We got to see all of the major ruins in their miniature settings and got to learn about each one of them. Afterwards we saw the flying dance show provided by the local tribesmen there. Had a little taste of local food. Only thing was that the tour felt a little rushed because other groups were behind us and they... More

Amazing set of ruins. We did a trip around the island and this was the highlight of our tour. Each building was unique and there was many of them. Just amazing. One of the highlights was seeing one of their gardeners. He was very small, just like I imagined the people. He was incredible and even let me take his... More

I booked this through "Accessible Caribbean Vacations". The driver's name was ABEL. The tour was good. The guide explains some history about the island as you walk through the museum. Then, we received a free margarita. On the outside, you get to review model-sized ruins that replicate those found throughout Mexico. Finally, you get to watch a "cultural rain dance"... More

This is well-maintained and very educational. It gave great descriptions of the ruins and you felt very comfortable walking around them. I agree with others about wearing good walking shoes and taking your time to enjoy the experience.

I LOVE chocolate and was really looking forward to this tour. The guide Claulio was informative, friendly and very personable. There is a museum component which shows paintings, pottery and carvings of images which are central to Mexican culture. The actual making of the chocolate was fun and informative with everyone learning why some types of chocolate is so expensive.... More
