Dove this sight last week, I would rate the current at a 6 out of 10 but not a problem.
Lots of corals to check out. Lots of different varieties of fish, a spotted eel etc.
Our average depth was 40 feet on this dive.
The only problem was that we encountered a lot of dive groups during the dive, keep a close eye on your group.
When surfacing there was a lot of boat traffic, be careful.

I was never found of this reef but it seems to be healthier. It is more vibrant which is good. There is green and pretty sponges. Again there are few fish.

This was our second dive of the day and it was as good as SF wall. We were able to see a bit of everything (shark, sea turtle, lobster. moray eel)

This reef reminded me of a hike in the foot hills around Tucson, Ariziona. It is like you are drifting along a hill side and when you look down towards open water you see this flat plan that almost looks like a desert valley floor that stretches out into the distances. I really just liked looking out on the plane. And on a late eveing dive, the nurse sharks started to come out and you could see them patroling that plane. I really enjoyed that reef.

I have dove Yucab twice so far. The first was for a deep water dive (got to see a shark) during my advanced open water diver training and the second was during a drift dive. Both times we were treated to turtles, eagle rays, lion fish, and tons of other amazing tropical fish. You can see plenty of fish without going down the wall, but some of the cooler animals are usually down deeper in this area. On the way there we saw lots of flying fish, and even caught a white marlin jumping out of the water trying to snag some of them.

Water temperature is warm (usually around 29 C in late May), and I didn't need a wetsuit. Visibility is amazing. If you want a relaxed dive, this is a wonderful drift dive as well. You feel like you're flying over an alien landscape and rarely ever need to move a fin.

Beautiful dive site. Water was so clear and very little current. This is not a deep dive. About 60'. Massive crab and lobsters. Found a sleeping nurse shark and beautiful juveniles on coral heads.

Nice 2nd boat dive. Good drift, great colors, and variety of fish. This is one of many great shallow drift dive in Cozumel

ask your divemaster to make sure there is not much current there,or it will not be as much fun, this is what I call the Virgin Wall, it is actually the end of Yucab,Not many people go there and it is beautiful, most go about 80ft, but before you know it you could be 125,135 ft.the wall has not been touched, the color and beauty are so nice....
