Sally Hurwitch is an American certified massage therapist and energyworker devoted to providing her clients with the best possible hour of their vacation. She is a solo practitioner, so appointments made are always handled by her personally. Barefoot in Cozumel... because you deserve a great massage. I was a little apprehensive about getting a massage with feet but am so happy I did it. This was by far the best massage I've ever had. All the tense spots I had on my back and neck have loosened and it was very relaxing. Sally was fantastic and explained what was going to happen during the massage and was very quiet and respectful of my time getting the massage so that I could enjoy it fully. My only complaint is she does not live in my city so I can get massages regularly. 😊 I higly recommend Barefoot Massage..

Sally is an amazing massage therapist. At first, it was a little odd to think about a massage by feet, but I was instantly relaxed and put at ease. Sally is physically strong and very knowledgeable. Each time she has emailed stretches for me or my daughter to do at home, to encourage wellness. I have recommended Sally to several family and friends when they have visited Cozumel. I am hoping to see her again in April.

I have had the pleasure of having several massages with Sally over the years. It’s always a highlight of my visit to Cozumel.
She is a consummate professional. The appointment times allow plenty of time to relax and talk before the massage. Her new house is gorgeous and just moments from the airport. It was a $3 cab ride from el centro. The treatment room is spacious and has a terrific atmosphere.
Most of all the modality and skill that she she has is unlike anything I have experienced anywhere before. I’ve had a lot of massages at costly spas around the world And none of them measure up to Sally’s.

Loved my massage with Sally! She is a gifted massage therapist and is very thorough with her intake process and learning what areas she needs to focus your session on. Her communication throughout the massage was appreciated and helped to make the experience complete. I would definitely recommend!

Barefoot massage - who knew?! It feels amazing! She's a human massage machine. The range of distance on your body that she can cover with constant pressure and the ability to adjust that amount of pressure really makes this massage special. I have been coming to Cozumel for a while now...I wish I had found her sooner. She will be a regular part of future trips. Start your trip off right - get a massage by Sally as soon as you get here. She is very knowledgeable and can focus on your trouble spots. Her massages reduce my pain and help calm my nervous system.

I have had numerous massages from Sally at Barefoot in Cozumel over the years and enjoyed every one I have had, my most recent included. I was happy to introduce my good friend to Sally and her Ashiata massage. My friend really enjoyed it and said she would definitely return on any future trip to Cozumel.
Massages are done in a quiet private room in Sally’s home near the airport. I will always make a massage appointment with Sally whenever I am going to be on the island. It is truly a wonderful and relaxing experience.

Sally was very professional and ready for us upon arrival. She explained everything that was going to happen, made sure we were comfortable and answered all our questions. The massage was so relaxing and a true pleasure. So happy we were able to get in to see her and will definitely return to her on our next trip to Cozumel.

I was very excited to try this type of massage with Sally. I get massages very regularly —Swedish, deep tissue— and this was the first time I tried this. I was very impressed with how relaxing this was. It didn’t feel overly deep but I felt the effects of massage for days, so I can tell it was deep. I was immediately transported to a mental state of calmness and relaxation that I haven’t experienced in a long time. I highly recommend making an appointment with Sally, probably a few. Not surprisingly, she is a busy woman, so make sure you get on her calendar. I also very much appreciate the specialized stretches she emailed me later. I can’t wait to go back to Cozumel and visit her again.

What else can I say that I haven’t said under numerous reviews of Barefoot in Cozumel’s massage service? An excellent experience all the way around. I think I dozed off about four times during my one hour massage. I look forward to my massage (or two) during each visit to the island.
I provided the address/map to our taxi driver and he took us directly to the door without issue. I highly encourage anyone wanting a massage while on the island to reserve in advance with Barefoot in Cozumel.

I saw Sally for a massage in December 2021. I read reviews on TA and was intrigued that she uses her feet. It was very easy to schedule the appointment by email. She sees clients in her extremely charming house near the airport. Her massage room is very clean and relaxing. Sally is obviously experienced and I felt immediately at ease and relaxed. The hour went by way too fast! What I especially appreciated was that she understood that I'm sensitive and don't want a lot of pressure. She gave me a massage that was very beneficial and at the same time comfortable for me. If I lived in Cozumel, I would be a regular client!
