First, the space was great: tranquil and cozy. This was my first ashiatsu massage so I wasn't totally sure what to expect, but this is now my massage style of choice. Amethyst was informative, kept the perfect amount of communication/checking in throughout, and tailored the...More

Sally did an amazing job! She was very professional and focused on my trouble areas. I will definitely visit Barefoot in Cozumel the next time I’m there. Sally also emailed me stretches after my massage.

Met Amethyst in an interesting way...on a plane ride to Cozumel. Knew she was special. Went for massage and Reike after a challenging time...it was fantastic. She is patient, informative, skilled and so kind...will return and suggest that anyone feel free to try this modality...fantastic!More

Thank you so much, Ginger, for a lovely review. I just want to add, for those reading this review, that Sally and Amethyst are the same person. There is only one massage therapist at Barefoot in Cozumel, ensuring that the massage you book is just...More

It was a sublime experience, attending to all tight areas with great care. Music was etherial. Sallys before and after communication was excellent too. Will be seeking a practitioner back home.

Hello, Mike, could you provide your email address, please? It's much easier for me to have all massage requests in one place, so that I can stay on top of them and reply promptly. Thank you. Sally.

Both your choices work for me, but then I am seriously low maintenance! They are the least expensive hotels with hot water and a/c. Both are relatively quiet given their locations. I think you can ask for a fridge at the Aguilar and pay an additional $5 per day or something like that. I have to say that the Aguilar is my preference... simply because of the pool. It's also a stone's throw from the Coffee Bean if you need that early morning fix. Enjoy! Sally, Barefoot in Cozumel

Hi all - I made a reservation for massages for my husband and I with Sally of Barefoot in Cozumel for our trip next month. I'm not sure if I should tip or not. I receive regular massages at home and the price is the same as Sally's and I do not tip as my massage therapist is the owner. That being said, I'm not sure what is customary in this case. (I always tip the massage therapists at the resorts and on the beach since they are employes and do not keep the entire cost of the massage, not...More
