Best way to spend a day in Mexico

Great for kids with the small pool, great buffet and all-inclusive drinks. The best part is the inflatable obstacle course a couple hundred yards out in the ocean. Great time.

Overall I was not impressed with Playa Mia. We visited as a shore excursion on a recent Disney Fantasy Cruise. In fairness, I had booked a beach trip to a secluded island beach by catamaran, but it was cancelled due to low booking / turnout. The cruise excursion guy directed me to this stop as the place that most people... More

We took an excursion to Playa Mia that started with the Mexican Cooking Class. Our Chef Luis Esquivel was excellent, as were Angel and Moses his assistants. We did the cooking class in a private (to our group) room with a nice view of the water. Drinks (adult and virgin) were provided throughout the process. Luis was pronominal with assisting... More

Another great cooking class at Playa Mia. Moises led this one, we have enjoyed having Luis take us through the paces before. A hands-on, yet relaxing and fun experience, that includes adult beverages while you prepare a three course meal. All within views of the beach and water. After the class, you can proceed to the beach for all inclusive... More

We visited this beach on an excursion with Royal Caribbean. After visiting the Cayman Islands the day before I was quite disappointed. $30 per person to enter the park/beach which includes a beach chair and non motorized sports. The sand and water is very course as compared to other beaches I have visited. The brochure advertises free WiFi, note that... More

We booked this excursion through Celebrity Cruiseline, having done it once before. It is an entertaining, educational, and tasty way to spend a few hours in Cozumel. Chef Luis starts the session by taking drink orders, adding to the fun atmosphere. Menu for our class was a shrimp appetizer, grouper, and carmelized plantains with chocolate tequila for dessert. Luis coached... More

Spent the day here during a cruise stop. I just loved snorkeling off the beach. They created small Mayan pyramids as artificial reefs for the fish. They were so cool to see underwater. We spied some of our usual favorites: French Angelfish, Parrot fish, and the ever popular Sargent Majors. The cool thing about this time was the we saw... More

We had a group of 9 including 5 teenagers. The taxi from the cruise port to Playa Mia was $5/per person each way. Fun for all ages, as they have lots of water toy options along with waterslides. The open bar was awesome and Poncho our waiter kept them coming. I have seen lots of complaints about the buffet; although... More

I went to compare to Paradise Resort which is next door. Playa Mia is huge, a lot of walking, and more expensive. Paradise is more intimate, less expensive for the same thing. I plan to return to Paradise and not Playa Mia.

We booked straight through playa Mia instead of the cruise line. They have an awesome play area for young kids and two water slides that are so much fun. We had the total package of food and drinks and it was definitely well spent. We will definitely return
