    Mexican Cuisine Workshop & Tasting
Me + my group of friends did the Mexican Cuisine workshop & tasting at Playa Mia and it was a 10/10 experience .. I encourage anyone who stops in Cozumel to check out this excursion. Shoutout to Moses & Angel and the rest of the crew.

    Nice Beach Day
Very nice but wasn’t quite what we expected and missed the mark. Purchased as a cruise excursion and reviewed the resort website prior to purchasing. None of the resort attractions were available, drinks and food weren’t that great. Beach was ok but note you won’t find clear waters. They don’t provide beach towels. Sand was clean. Pool was clean. Pretty scenery. Overall it was an ok beach day and my kids had a great time. I will shout out the on beach massage team. They were phenomenal. Great experience and loved my Oceanside massage!

Mexican Cuisine cooking class and beach time
We almost passed on this excursion through Holland and I’m so happy we chose this fun activity. It was an absolute blast. The chefs and assistants were superb…yay for Moises, Angel and Edgar! They were all extraordinarily amazing…super fun and informative. The food was exceptional even if I did cook it. lol You have an open bar and get to enjoy all of the amenities after your cooking class and lunch. We would do it again. Do not hesitate to join in on the fun! You will not regret it.

My family purchased a day pass looking to spend some time on land as passengers from Oasis of the Seas. The beach was ok, lounge chairs were available and an obstacle course was setup on an enclosed portion of the beach right in front of the property. There were rocks and sea grass close to the shore. We also payed for the buffet alternative at $20 per person, including children 12 years and over. The food was described as an international buffet, it was atrocious. I consider Mexico’s cuisine to be top notch and had high expectations, looking forward to a taco station including Cochinita Pibil, a traditional staple in the Yucatán Peninsula. My negative review is based on a food selection composed of nachos, pasta Alfredo, chicken nuggets, French fries, beans, rice, pork (more bone than meat) and ceviche which was the most decent option. They had fried pork tacos (flautas) as the only Mexican option. The pork was nowhere to be seen, they were probably as good as any frozen taco displayed at your regular supermarket. It is inexcusable that no real Mexican food was offered. The informal Mexican food options at the ship were so much better
Shame on these guys!!!!

The beach is beautiful, very clean, and white sand. If you get all inclusive the drinks are tasty. However, the food options and Buffet could be better. Oh I must mention the large bikes, kayak, pattleboats are all
Included. The jet ski is $65/half hour and the parasailing is $110. I did both and they were extremely fun.

We love this place! Our go to whenever we stop in Cozumel on a cruise. We like to take a taxi and pay the basic entrance fee instead of the all inclusive option. We have tried both ways and the food is much better when you order off the menu. The all inclusive (AI) option is just off the buffet and not the greatest. Bucket of beer bottles are $12 for 5 bottles instead of tap beer that’s included in the AI. Great service, pools with big slides and tons of water toys come with admission.

Okay beach day. The facility lacks shade, so you have to rent an umbrella. Only 4 bucks, but annoying. The beach area is relatively small, especially once the ship excursions get there. The pool is tiny, and there is not a swim up bar. Well, there is one, but it was not, and has not been open in a long time. Pool also had algae in it.

Mario however did a great job keeping up with our group, and keeping the drinks coming. Mario gets 5 stars. But Mario should use those talents at a MUCH better location, about 1/2 mile south along the beach (which is where we would have gone, but it was sold out). In fact, both the two places south of here were sold out, and Playa Mia was still available 3 days prior to arrival - should tell you something.

I will say that if you have small children, they DO have a better water slide, pool play area than the two resorts to the south. So if you have 10yr olds +-, this might be the place for you.

Food was not very good. No cheese for tacos? - oh, they did, but it was parmesan cheese? Who uses parmesan on a taco?

Live and learn. We will not be back. The one to the immediate south is much better, and the one beyond that is also better.

Went as an excursion from Disney Magic cruise: This place has most of what young children want, pools, cool splash area (big ships and slides), water slides and snow cones. Children (3 & 6) were happy and that’s what mattered. For my husband and I - we would not come here without children. We rented a cabana (highly recommend) and made this our ‘home base’ while there for 4 hours. The pic is our view of the beach from the cabana ….rows of chairs which quickly filled with big umbrellas, etc. eventually could not see the beach. There’s not much ‘beach’ anyway which was disappointing since kids wanted to play in sand. Water was clear and warm, but did not see shark nets. Bar drinks and food were just plain awful. We paid $75 each for the day (unlimited food/drinks), plus $30 for the cabana.

Absolutely must make a day at this place. Incredible service and amenities. Make sure and do the all inclusive package. At $75 per person it includes 2 chairs, umbrella, table side meals and drinks.

Its they place we go anytime that we go to Cozumel, we normally know in advance, and the pricing is much better than stopping in without early reservation (30% more) Water is always great at the beach, and the pool areas are a great place to relax later in the day. WE dont really drink that much, so buying an all-inclusive is not really a need, but you will have less personal attention with the blue arm band over the pink one.
It was just us making a change in plans, and going there left a little bad taste in our mouth...but it wont stop us from going back,,

I want to start this review by saying that Johnny, our server, was absolutely amazing. He took great care of us. My kids loved the pools and splash park. We also loved the beach play area. With that said, there were 10 us in total. 6 adults and 4 kids. 5 out of the 6 adults drank the same margaritas. All 5 of us were vomiting before the day was over. Since we had so many kids with us, we limited ourselves to 2 to 3 drinks over the course of the day. I cannot in good faith recommend a place in which all of the adults got sick off of the same drink. The one adult who drank rum was not sick. We will definitely be visiting a different place next time. And that makes me sad because I wanted to love this place.

We have gone to Playa Mia a few times on cruise stops and always really enjoyed it. We thought it was closed, but were excited to find it open when we got off the ferry. Cozumel was devastated by the cruise shutdown and Playa Mia was out of operation for 16 months. We were among just a few people on the beach and you could tell the staff were happy to have to guests. I've been to Playa Mia when it's packed and now when really slow and I've always had a great time. Food is simple, but good. Beers, towels and umbrellas are reasonably priced. We were happy to see that the park had booked a couple of catamaran tours and had guests coming in when were ready to head out. Any time we find ourselves in Cozumel we plan to enjoy Playa Mia.

A note that with the economy of Cozumel so ravaged we experienced begging and aggressive hawking in the terminal area more reminiscent of crossing into Tijuana than what I had seen here before. I hope that things get on track for the island soon.

It's one of the worst beach clubs I've been to in my life. Very expensive, people are rude, have no desire to serve you at all (but have no probelm asking you for tips in the end), terrible food and watery drinks. Go anywhere else but here, it's a true waste of money. There are several other beach clubs nearby, with better cost/benefit.
