We stayed in paradise condominiums next door to ponte buzo dive center in July. Island was still mostly closed but thank goodness the beach club and dive center were open! The four of us went through the open water certification course (2 adults 2 teenagers) and an additional 2 tank dive. Luis was our scuba master instructor and was extremely professional and attentive to our needs. Reyes was assisting and took fabulous care of my daughters and wife who was nursing a fractured leg. Class was very laid back and informal and Luis was great at keeping our attention! Luis really takes an interest in those he is taking care of and is so knowledgeable about the reefs he will make sure to take you to the best locations depending on the current conditions! I can not express how much we enjoyed diving with them and will only dive with Ponte Buzo in the future! Prices are more than reasonable also!

I am a Repeat customer and I love this dive shop. I have been diving for decades, all over the world. Pontebuzo rates among my best experiences. Louis is friendly, very knowledgeable, and very hard working. Most importantly, he is very aware of his divers without trying to take total control of a dive. As a guide, he can lead you around sights he has dive on his entire life. He can accommodate rental equipment for missing or broken gear, and I would trust him with the most inexperienced diver.

My husband and I had snorkeled in Cozumel in August 2022 and immediately knew we wanted to get certified to scuba dive and return. We had JUST completed our certification in the US and took our first "dive" with Reyes (dive master) and Azul (boat captain). We were incredibly nervous but were immediately reassured and calmed by Luis, Reyes, and Azul. We loved our time with Reyes and Azul and we saw MANY amazing things. We are already planning our return trip to visit more reefs in May 2023. This is a professional, small group of people. They treat you like family and clearly LOVE what they do. A tip: Book directly through their website.

Muy recomendable, gran experiencia para todos los niveles. Yo fui a hacer mi curso Open Water, a pesar de comenzar con miedo logre superarlo gracias a una muy buena supervisión. Luis es muy buen maestro. Mi novio que es avanzado (200 inmersiones) va con ellos y siempre disfruta mucho la experiencia, desde la barca, inmersiones y el trato.

Luis is a very good teacher. My boyfriend, on the other hand, has done more than 200 dives and has been going with them for years. He always enjoys the experience, from the boat, dives and the kindness of the crew

The team was very helpful with arranging the dive according to our schedule. But the dive itself (wreck dive C53) was quite chaotic. There was almost no briefing about what to expect and I had the strong impression, that the guide did not care much about the group. We are well trained divers, so we could enjoy the dive anyways. But we certainly expect more from a dive guide and rarely experienced something like this.

Luis and his Team of Cozumel natives have been in business since 1994 and, over the course of my time with them in March 2023, I met several divers that have been diving with Luis since his start. Luis is a calming presence in and out of the water. He cares about safety and the environment and learned the reef (and all its nooks and crannies) from his father who was one of the first native dive instructors on Cozumel. Since I was solo, Luis placed me within an amicable group (which I appreciated). We’re already planning our return in March 2025 and I’m going to carve out a bit more time to spend with Luis and his Team of professionals.

I spent three weeks diving with Sunrise Divers during the months of July and August 2012. Luis and his father Jorge are AMAZING, professional dive leaders who treat you like you are part of their family. I dove 20 different dive sites with them and was very impressed with the locations they chose to take us. I am a dive instructor / dive leader and am not easily impressed. I will be diving with Sunrise Divers next summer.

I have done many dives with various companies in the Cancun/Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel area as well as other areas in the caribbean. A local resident diver recommended Luis and Sunrise Divers Cozumel. Fantastic service, new clean equipment, personal and professional, great dive spots - absolutely excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

If you are looking for an excellent diving experience while in Cozumel, look no further then Sunrise Divers.
Jorge and Louis are such a professional team that it makes your diving a 100% worry free and fun event.
Over the water: they are always on time, share with you top shape gear, help with transportation from and to your hotel, feed you well after your dives and provide tasty recommendation of local restaurants.
Under the water, their identification skills are amazing, their dive planning and execution is meticulous and most of all – Safety, Safety, Safety.
We will be back and I would recommend using Sunrise Divers in every opportunity you have!!

I dove 4 days with Pontebuzo.
Reyes and Luis were fun and very good Divemasters showing many amazing sights including turtles, sharks, splendid toadfish, lobsters, and coral
Jesus, the captain, was excellent and always brought amazing food to enjoy between dives.
They promised to rinse and store our gear, but lost my finstrap. Disappointingly, when asked to find it or replace it, I was completely ignored. Also, a gift I made for them was discarded and that was disappointing too. They could have
1-at least emailed, texted , called to apologize
2- offer $20 PayPal refund to replace the strap
3- located a new strap as Cozumel certainly has a shop where that could have been found
4-not accepted my gift, or waited until I returned home to throw it out.
Instead they chose not to communicate at all and after promising to stop at my pier at 9:00, just blew by my pier— I had waited since 8:30, and waited and waited. At 9:54 they simply buzzed on by, not bothering to stop and at least say, sorry, we lost your strap.
Luis and Jorge if you read this, it would be great to hear back from you. I carefully selected you for my dive experience way in advance. I was disappointed in your treatment of the situation.

A sincere apology for what happened. Unfortunately I could not attend you personally because your trip coincided with the weekend of my marriage. I learned too late about the situation, and my staff did not know how to react.
I am sending you a refund for $ 20 via Paypal hoping it can be useful.
Also, if you give us the opportunity to serve you again, we will give you a discount and we will wait for you with some delicious mangoes!
