All of the Chichen Itza complex is just amazing and much bigger than I thought, we visited it in April and it was very hot.
This constuction at the Chichén Itzá site was once an astronomical observatory. The observatory is called "Caracol", that means snail (because of the spiral form of the observatory stairs) and is above a raised platform.
