Such an unbelievable site. How did they do all of that? ETs???? Worth a visit! The only bad part is all the merchants bugging you.

What an amazing experience to walk through this ancient site with a very knowledgable local guide who brought the place to life and helped us understand what we have forgotten. How to build with precision and quality that is mind boggling. What it means to...More

We had a guided tour, and let me agree with other reviews that the tour guide makes a huge difference. Our tour guide grew up in the area, and had been coming to Chichen Itza since he was a small boy. The information he provided...More

We booked this with our travel agency for $80,- each. It is a long drive from Cancun but we stopped for taco's on the way to it and had a chatty tourguide so the trip was made more doable. It is advised to go there...More

I remember this place when you could actually climb it and now you cant. However it is beautiful to see and the night show is great but more spectacular if you can schedule seeing the show during a full moon.

The ruins are astounding but the overall experience is marred by the hordes of souvenir tables lining the pathways.. makes it all look like a cheap bazaar.... Please consider creating a special site for the souvenir sellers, not immediately within the ruins.

This is the main building at the Chichen Itza site. Lots of other things to do there, and lots of people wanting to sell stuff.

Our tour was from Cozumel, so the bus started from Playa del Carmen after we got off the ferry. It took 2 hours by road to get to Chichen Itza from Playa del Carmen, which now seems faster than the Cancun road trip... More
