Wealth of knowledge, also, LGBTQ Friendly!

Our cab driver recommended Alvaro as a tour guide when we expressed interest in seeing Chichén Itza and we couldn’t have been more fortunate! Alvaro was incredibly kind to accommodate us for a private tour so short notice and we can’t stress what an amazing, professional yet intimate experience it was. Also, he’s VERY safe and diligent about sanitation when it comes to COVID. He’s an absolute pleasure, and was incredibly patient and attentive with us with all of our needs and questions. His knowledge is amazing in all facets and we appreciated being able to speak in both English & Spanish with him. He created a memorable itinerary for us, visiting Chichén Itza, taking our time to learn as much as possible with the help of another guide he works with there who goes by Tortuga, then taking us to Cenote Ik Kil (where you can also eat delicious food!) and even teaching me how to swim. He tried taking us to see some other neat things however unfortunately they were closed due to the pandemic. I can’t wait to return with my family and contact him to set up another tour. We look forward to supporting him in the amazing experiences he creates for people. My wife & I felt sooo incredibly comfortable with him. (Yup, we’re gay, so major thumbs up for our fellow queer folk!!)

BEST TOUR GUIDE IN MEXICO!!!

This was the best vacation ever and It was all because of Alvaro! I really get to a guy it’s when I go out of country but thank goodness we did it for this trip because we were able to see things that we normally didn’t see and everything was all prepared ahead of time so we did not need to think or worry about anything I highly recommend Alvaro Tours For anyone traveling to Cancun in the surrounding areas. It will be the best investment of your vacation in your life. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip and I know we will be booking you again soon when we come out towards the end of the year!!

Best Weekend Ever!!!!!!!

Cancun itself was excellent, however meeting Alvaro made my experience much better. I did not feel pressured in buying anything, he listened to what I wanted to do and suggested something in my price range. Very affordable and the best tours I could ask for, he was arranged transportation as promised and was there to pick us up when we returned, felt like an old fried in Cancun. I will go back to him any time I am in Cancun, great guy!

Best Tour Agent in Cancun

We are a group of friends from Poland. We found this agancy via Trip Advisor and we are more than happy that we did. His office is just across the street from the Riu Palace Hotel. Alvaro is a fantastic person with a personal attitude to his customers. He is not trying to sell you anything more than you need. Not pushing, not upselling, just trying to find tours that fit what you like. And the most important, he is 100% honest! We booked 5 different trips and events with him. All of them were great. You always go in small groups, never have to wait in lines anywhere, he knows people arround and always get you straight to the palce you want to go. During long drives he is telling you stories about the history of mayan people, so you don't get bored and the time flies. His agancy is highly recommended. He made our vacation unforgettable. Great Tour

We visited the Mayan ruin of the Yucatan and swim in a Mayan Sinkhole known as a cenotes. This is a must see 7 wonders of the world. The view will truly take your breath away. The ride from Cancun is about two hours. We stop at a tourist spot about midway to the ruins and shopped and had a hot launch. This trip is very reasonable, we paid $100us for a couple. It was a all day trip and worth the cost. The details I can go into is to long, if you're in Cancun you must take this trip!

Parasailing experience with excellent views but disappointing service

We booked parasailing for 4 people on a beautiful sunny Cancun day. 1000 peso per person (4000 peso total) for an advertised 10-12 minutes in the air.

Alvaro arranged the parasailing and even transported us free of charge using a local bus service to and from the excursion point.

We were told that the experience would last 45 minutes in total with 10-12 minutes in the air per couple unfortunately the experience lasted 1.5 hours with approx 7-9 minutes in the air.

We were told that we were the only 2 couples doing the experience and that a boat would collect us within 10 minutes.

After 30 minutes a boat did collect us, already carrying two people and transported our group of 4 and an additional couple, so we were now 8 people which explains why the excursion took 1.5 hours.

The first couple spent 10 minutes in the air. Next were a couple from our group of 4 who spent about 8-9 minutes in the air. My girlfriend and I were next and we spent 7 minutes in the air. Considerably less than advertised.

When returning to the excursion point, I highlighted this to Alvaro who asked me to explain this to the excursion organisers which I happily did. They offered a free ride as compensation, not something we were interested in so politely declined.

Alvaro asked us to leave this matter with him so he could investigate further. After 48 hours, we met Alvaro again for another excursion (review to follow) and Alvaro was happy to refund 2000 peso (50% of our payment).

Alvaro was understanding and helpful throughout, unfortunately the excursion organisers let him down hence the 3 star review.

Wow!

I was afraid that I would be underwhelmed by the archeological site of Chichen Itza, but when I stepped out of the line of trees and say the pyramid for the first time, all I could think was "wow". It is an amazing experience if you've never seen something like this before. Then as you stand there and begin to imagine an entire city of people living there it becomes even more amazing. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Private boat tour with snorkel experience and boat ride to Isla Mujeres

Alvaro was a very helpful and professional travel agent. He called and negotiated with all of the excursion organizers to make sure we had a great experience and did everything he said he was going to do. Another guest at our resort recommended Alvaro and he lived up to the expectations. He is not pushy and is very trustworthy. I would recommend anyone to him knowing that he will take great care of them.

Catamaran trip was perfect !

I highly recommend Alvaro tours over the other companies in the area. Pricing is all the same and Alvaro took great care of us! If you book a catamaran trip it takes you to isla mujeres for lunch and time to explore. We rented a golf cart and had time to drive around the whole island !
