The initial arrival was a bit confusing, without direction to check in at one of the desks to initiate the process/waiver/payment of marina fee. We were thankful that they had long sleeve rash guards for purchase, and not overly priced. I felt a bit rushed to start, but that was likely due to having to help my two children get ready as well. They said we could bring towels and hats, but I found I did not have the opportunity to use them, as they were stowed in a box by the boat captain. I was thankful that the guide brought a couple of their towels, because my son (7) became chilled, and my daughter and I got salt water in our eyes, which stings a bit.
I was concerned about my kids with how tall the swells were, but the guide (I wish I could remember his name, he was great!) helped out a lot by pulling my son on a buoy. My daughter (9) also needed breaks and I was surprised at how easily he pulled them!
Despite being out of their comfort zone and being a bit cold and tired, both kids wanted to try all three stops. Captain Jorge and Photographer Jorge got them back on the boat quickly when they were done, which allowed my husband and I a little time to explore without worry. Our group was lucky to see two sea turtles, and swimming into the fish near the shipwreck was very cool!
We would definitely recommend this company for family and couple snorkeling.
