It was a quick tour, maybe 25-30 minutes. The guide was hilarious and I learned a lot about how Tequila was made. The free samples are plentiful and the margarita at the beginning was REALLY good!

The tequila museum which is found within the luxury mall in Cancun is great. It is at the back of the souvenir store on the second floor. The prices at the store are what you would expect in the flea markets but already priced at the prices they should be and very reasonable.
The tequila tasting was free, informal and very informative. The hostess was charming.
Best value.

Have to go there every time we visit Cancun! They will wrap your tequila for the plane...after you have sampled as much as you want! Great prices and service. Grill has great food!

I thought I knew about Tequila. Boy, did the host ever do a great job informing me on the different flavors and quality. Prices are not bad. Sampled a 100 dollar bottle and then a 20 dollar bottle. Wow, you can tell the difference. Great helpful staff here, I'm a 2xl shirt guy and they help find ones I wanted.

This was a fascinating shopping experience that offered lots of interesting things to purchase, plus a tequila tasting area in the rear (at least it looked like that). We bought some souvenirs from this store which were OK. I must admit that the ice cream stand in front sold ice cream (or gelato) that was not the best. Still, it was a fun place to visit.

During our stay in the Mayan Riviera we had to spend an afternoon in the Hotel Zone bar hopping and trinket shopping. We needed some Tequila and a nosh and found Hacienda Tequila.
It was mid afternoon so not very busy but service was good and we found queso fundido with rajas on the menu and had to try as Cara and I are queso connoisseurs. We were not disappointed! Delicious Oaxacan cheese with roasted peppers and fresh flour tortillas... heaven in a bowl! Paired with shots of 3 G’s 70 our afternoon was made whole!
If you’re in the hotel zone and need a respite swing by Hacienda Tequila for some amazing queso and a huge selection of top shelf tequila, you won’t be disappointed.

giovanni... I never knew how Tequila was made or where did it ever come from ....the tour to this place was really very knowledgeable they showed us or should I say gave us an idea about how Tequila is made ....they have these big huge barrels around there ....they also give us a taste of different types of the tequilas....if I remember there is one very strong kind of Tequila one like a mid range and the other the lightest version of it.... I learnt after that day that to enjoy Tequila one should take SIP by SIP and also try to kind of gargle with it as opposite to the hey I have seen people having is usually Tequila shots with lemon ....we were also told that if Tequila is taken this way it just knocks you down but does not actually help enjoy the drink ....I went crazy about buying different kind of bottles that they had I wish I could carry it all back home.... I did want to buy this barrel which you could fill with Tequila and serve in your bar at home but I was already overweight so I could not buy it but if I were to go back again will surely buy that thing

I love tequila!! And was really looking forward to gaining some knowledge of the tequila making process etc here after reading other reviews. But we walked away empty handed and with no additional knowledge. Granted we were there on a weeknight around 7:30 but I still excepted some info. The tasting area was closed and while there is a wide variety there was no one around to answer questions or assist at all. I should also mention the prices are not that great. Your better to get it at the airport or go to la Isla Shopping center. Also the tequila section is in the back corner of the a souvenir store(again not great prices either). So I give 3 for the selection of tequila but I didn't get to taste anything or get any info. Maybe you have to go on a Saturday afternoon to do so.

This restaurant/store/museum was recommended by our favorite guy here at Occidental Tucanacun. The food was amazing, the margaritas were the best I've ever had and the tequila sublime!!

We went to buy tequila and got the whole explanation of the entire process to make it. The service was great and we got to taste several kinds before buying so we know what to buy and get home. If you go to Cancún and like tequila you MUST go to this place.
