This company does a great job. The reservation process is easy and they communicate well as to how it's going to work. And then the guides work very hard to get you fish and don't shame you if your casting is a little off:). I've used them on 2 different occasions when sneaking away from family at the hotel and was incredibly pleased. They can't control the weather, bite, or your casting...but they'll certainly put you in a great position and show you a beautiful part of the world.

Had a great, quick trip with these guys in the laguna behind the hotel zone, oriented toward the chance of catching tarpon in the sunset hour. I'm not the world's best caster; Mau politely asked if I'd like a little lesson. It helped a lot! When the tarpon started rolling, and my fly seemed not to work, he changed flies until we found one that did work. I blew the first strike, got the second one, and the minute of glory made it all worthwhile. It's fun catching fish like this in view of the hotels.

This was my second time using Cancun Flyfishing previously I went with Enrique, Bernardo’s father. They are a great father son team. Went 2 days (Monday and Thursday) with Bernardo and had a awesome time. We chased tarpon and Snook the first day then only tarpon the 2nd day. He was very patient with my inability to get the fly where it needed to be most of the time. He had me on fish almost constantly which is very difficult in any fishery. Looking forward to going again when I return to Cancun. I would highly recommended either father or son for an awesome day of fishing

If you want to do nothing and claim you did something, then go deep sea fishing with one of the many companies that offer that. If you actually want to fish and learn something then book with these guys. Worth every penny. Regardless of you skill level they will do whatever it take to get you actually fishing. Are these sea monsters? No. Will you leave satisfied that you did “most” of it yourself with the invaluable knowledge of your guide - without hesitation yes. I had a four hour trip with Noel who is the embodiment of patience and encouragement. After multiple locations targeting multiple species he set me in an area where the bite was on. There’s no such thing as a trash fish when you are doing catch and release, especially when you are not concerned with landing the vanity fish. After hours of casting we hooked up to 15+ barracuda and landed about 10 at a time where the bite elsewhere was definitely off (thanks full moon and clear night). At the end of the session I felt great. I’m no fisherman, but today I was. Thanks Noel! If you are thinking of booking, don’t think. Do.
