We booked a 6 hour Isla Blanca trip with Enrique and the trip was amazing! The boat ride from the dock was picturesque and the sunrise was stunning. The water is relatively calm which is great for people who experience sea-sickness. Once we arrived to the fishing spot, we were almost instantly hooking up and were constantly getting bites for the whole trip. Enrique was great, friendly, with excellent English and was a patient and expert teacher. We caught lots of Snook, Jacks, and even a Barracuda, Tarpon and Catfish. I would highly recommend this trip to friends and family and hope to go fishing with them again when I am in Cancun again.

Went fishing for tarpon and snook with Bernardo and his dad. I didn’t fish with his dad but my brothers that did had a blast. They were put on a ton of fish and got to see some really beautiful spots in isla blanca.
Bernardo was one of the best guides I’ve ever fished with. My casting was sub par and Bernardo was coaching me all day and helped me greatly improve my cast. He put us on a TON of fish. I hooked a good handful but was unable to land any. I was stuck on my trout fishing ways and couldn’t make it happen. Regardless, Bernardo was patient and helpful all day long. I’ll definitely be back for another trip with him hopefully for more days next time! Thanks again guys.

Went fishing light tackle in the lagoon in the . The marina was located in the hotel zone. Easy to get to. The guide was good. The fishing was ok it was windy that day.

I had a great day of fishing at Isla Blanco with Bernardo. Bernardo put me on fish right away and kept me in them all day. He had much patience and offered great instruction all day. Flats fishing was completely new to me and this adventure did not disappoint. I hooked 10 tarpon and boated 3. I should have boated 3 or 4 more, but stupid mistakes. I highly recommend Cancun Flyfishing.

The fishing was good, and we had a ton of fun. However, there were two guides on the boat, one in front and one in back. Both of them sighting fish telling you where to cast and contradicting one another at times. The guy in front was always handling the line which is great for beginners, but unnecessary and slightly annoying for a more seasoned fly caster. Additionally, Isiah, the lead guide, spoke English very well. I tried to ask numerous questions about fishing in Mexico, what time of year is best, what’s his favorite species to catch, etc. It was clear he didn’t want to engage, and instead spoke to the other guide in Spanish the whole time. We also stopped fishing 45 minutes to an hour earlier than expected. Again, the fishing was great and we were on fish all day long so it’s hard to complain, but just a few things that would have made the experience even better.

Had a great trip today with our guide Jose, we only did the shorter 4 hour trip but he managed to get us on a lot of fish, however I was not that experienced with catching tarpon so ended up losing a number of the hook ups.
Overall really enjoyed the trip and was glad to have caught my very first tarpon
Probably wouldn’t recommend though if you don’t have any fishing experience as my partner struggled a bit as she is not great at casting. She did however improve over the course of the trip with help from Jose.

Wow, amazing trip.
Bernardo was a great guide, put me on baby tarpon & snook within the first 30 minutes of the trip. I ended up landing 5 tarpon but only because of my lack of skill, should've had a handful more.
I'd recommend these guys any day. In fact, my brother is in Cancun this week and is booking a trip with them.
Great communication, transportation was easy, lunch was perfect (sandwich/chips/drink).

We had a wonderful time fishing with Bernardo for 2 days. We had great tarpon action both days! Bernardo put us on the fish and patiently worked with me on imporoving technique as lm not the most experienced angler. Cancun fly fishing picked us up from our hotel so there was no stress getting to and from the boat. Awesome time and we will definitely be doing it again! Thank you Bernardo and Cancún fly fishing !

Jose is the man! He put me on a multitude of rolling tarpon and I was able to catch my first saltwater fish on the fly rod (as well as missing one in the 20+ pound range, which was my fault for not setting hard enough). He gave great direction as to where to cast (10 o' clock, 11o' clock, etc), put us in the right spots and was very patient and positive. Can't wait to come back next year!

Had a great, quick trip with these guys in the laguna behind the hotel zone, oriented toward the chance of catching tarpon in the sunset hour. I'm not the world's best caster; Mau politely asked if I'd like a little lesson. It helped a lot! When the tarpon started rolling, and my fly seemed not to work, he changed flies until we found one that did work. I blew the first strike, got the second one, and the minute of glory made it all worthwhile. It's fun catching fish like this in view of the hotels.

Pick ups are included on our Isla Blanca trip from hotels in the Cancun hotel zone, downtown, or in the Playa Mujeres area. For the Cancun lagoon trips everyone shows up at the docks for the trips.
