Lemuel picked my wife and I from our Hotel, literally going the extra mile because we were pretty far away from the other visitors who were on the same tour. As soon as Lemuel pulled up, I could tell it was going to be great just seeing his smile! Cheesy I know but it put all of our doubts and... More

My husband, another couple, and myself had a wonderful experience with Mormon Encounter. Lemuel Petlacalco was our tour guide and he brought his sweet daughter along. We felt he went the extra mile by providing a ton of water to drink, a great lunch at a local restaurant, and boogie boards to use while floating in a cenote. This tour... More

Lemuel Petlacalco was recommended to us by a neighbor. He picked us up from our resort at Playa Del Carmen at 8:00 am sharp. He was awesome. We read scriptures from his I-pad in the van on our way to Coba. His insight and knowledge of the Book of Mormon and local ruins was wonderful. We rode bicycles through the... More

The highlight of our week at Cancun with sightseeing and tourist attractions was the tour of Coba and Tulum! Lemuel Petlacalco Lehman was an amazing find. His knowledge of the ruins and gospel of Jesus Christ tied a perfect knot to our testimony of the Book of Mormon. We just had a tender mercy in finding him to guide our... More

Carlos kept us entertained as well as being a wealth of knowledge and information! Even though we have studied these ruins in other ways Carlos added insights we had never seen. His information and love for the ruins transformed our trip from good to amazing!

If you are planning a trip to Cancun, it would not be complete without a personal tour to the ancient Mayan ruins. I was recommended to look into Helamantours@yahoo.com I am so glad I took this route. Our personal tour guide, Carlos Aleman Ortiz picked us up at 7:30. Carlos was so knowledgeable on archeology and the Mayan civilization. He... More

There is nothing I can add to the many reviews already posted. I agree with all of them. We are hoping to go back and do one of Carlos' 5 day tours to see more ruins. I had to come home and order a couple of books to learn more of what he shared with us. It was very hot... More

My main purpose in visiting the Yucatan was to give my family a frame of reference when they read the Book of Mormon. I was extremely pleased with the tour and the spirit which Carlos brought to us during our day. We were in awe as he read passages from the Book of Mormon that matched what we were seeing... More

Visiting an historic site with a young, archeologist who is writing a book on the subject matter?! What a day. Carlos drove us to visit a beautiful Mayan family. I'm a teacher, and he brought me over to their school to see the children and the teacher. The family was lovely. Next he brought us to swim in a cenote... More

We have been on 8 or so tours with Carlos, and they have all been wonderful experiences! Carlos is the most knowledgable and fun guide I have ever met! Everytime we go out with him we learn and see something new! Last week, Carlos took me, my wife and 2 teenagers to the Mayan Ruins at Ek Balam and to... More
