Nice ride to the island

We took this ferry over to isla mujeres. It was a very nice ride both ways. Good way to see the area from a different perspective.

Rode this ferry to Isla Mujeres. My kids loved that we could sit on top in the open. We had entertainment on the way to and from our destination. The port for the ferry is a fun lively place full of stores and restaurants/bars...you can even bungee jump there (next time!) We paid $20 roundtrip per person.

There was live entertainment and the guy was very good. it was a smooth, relaxing ride and the staff was friendly. The only negative part was the aisles between seats were kind of narrow and I scraped my leg on some... More

How to get to Isla Mujeres? Take the Ultramar. Not expensive and nice ride. It is very close so don't expect an hour of sunbathing on the boat. It is fast and you have a chance to see the clear water around Isla Mujeres and Cancun

I suspected we were getting ripped off when I saw signs in English and pricing in dollars and stands right at the bus stop devoted to selling Americans tickets. $19. When he offered to take a credit card and pay in pesos instead of charging the Mexican peso price he converted dollars into pesos instead of charging the Mexican peso... More

Fast, fun, get a tan while you go! We go to IM pretty frequently, and this is definitely the easiest way to get there.
