I've been on some strange boats, some strange ferries and have had some strange experiences but this was professional and safe. you can sit outside or inside (it's air-conditioned inside) and a little too sunny outside, especially on the way back since you've probably been in the sun for hours. but it was quick and really nicely run you just... We used the ultramar to get to Isla mujeres. Very convenient as the port was only a 10 minute ride on local bus. Very inexpensive and fairly quick ride. They have a man playing live music although it wasn't the greatest, he picks songs everyone knows and can sing along to. Asks for tips when finished. The boat is clean... More

The Ultramar is a simple and easy way to access Isla Mujeres. Unfortunately it is about the only option to get there, with a mandated rate of about 19.00 USD per person R/T at two of their locations. The upper deck is catered for tourist, with either a local singer or DJ force feeding you their music, with the expectation... More

We took our 2 yr old granddaughter to this isla and used Ultrama hotel zone! So easy!! Affordable and comfortable! Even had some entertainment while enroute. The trip is quick too and AC on way back was a relief!!!

Well I suppose this is really the only way to travel to the island but it is economical and very efficient. They travel every half hour and take about roughly 20 minutes to get from Cancun to the Island or vice versa. There is lower level and upper level seating so you can enjoy the sun and views from up... More

Ultramar is the best option, outside of a private boat, for travel between Puerto Juarez and off coast sites. The ferry is consistently on time, clean, and is staffed by friendly, helpful employees.

We caught the ferry for Isla Mujeres from the Playa Tortugas dock. The ferries run every hour, on the hour and the trip costs 350 pesos (about £15). Before boarding, you're stopped for a photo opportunity and then proceed to get on the Ferry. You can choose to sit inside or on the top deck. The inside is clean and... More

Travel in cancun may be expensive, each second has it’s own price. Why waiting? It’s not a first class Service but it’s the nearest option, by 150 pesos you get a 40 minutes trip at high speed and a crazy quick boarding process wich can drive you madness. Be under advisement, no seat numeration prior to boarding so it’s pure... More

We used the ferry to get from Cancun to Isla Mujeres and it was easy to use. Very economical and would use it again on our next visit.

We took the Ultramar from Cancun to and from Isla Mujeres, and also on a return trip from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen. The price was very reasonable, the seats were comfortable, and the rides were fast. There was a guy on the top (open-air) deck on the Isla Mujeres-to-Cancun who sang and played electric guitar. He played very well... More
