Caught the Ultramar ferry from Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel a couple of times for daytrips and found it to be a quick and convenient option. The ferries were air conditioned and comfortable and both times there was a Mexican band onboard playing popular songs....More

I presume it’s the only way to go to isla mujeres and cozumel but it’s expensive, always late, and the trip is terribly noisy! Super loud commercial music, and then the typical « Mexican » singer with jts outfit ... they obviously see us all as stupid...More

The inside of the ferry had to be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with no air circulation. I was amazed people weren't passing out, it was awful. Isla Mujeres was same ole, same old. When you get back from ferry and drive into Cancun there are...More

We got our Ferry from Plya Linda ( next to the Pirate Boat show). As our hotel was quite close to the docks, we went to the office and bought our tickets in advance. Just a minor point, they quoted the cost in Pesos but...More

This ferry is close to Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach--convenient location. The cost is reasonable and it is a short ride to Isla Mujeres. While waiting for the ferry you can enjoy snacks and drinks, for a fee. The return ferries from Isla Mujeres to...More

We took the ultramar ferry back and forth to Isla Mujeres. The ferry is large, with an upper and lower deck. It costs $19 round trip per person.

I think the route 2 bus goes along Blvd Kuklkan. If you stay on the bus, the ferry stop is on the same side of the road. You can’t miss the stop as you should be ready to get off once you pass the pirate boats on the right.
