The rates are reasonable and the boats are very clean and have bathrooms and airconditioning. There is a snack bar but it is rarely open. The tvs in the main cabin run ads for a chain of local amusement parks (Xcaret- which I highly recommend). The seats are comfortable and some areas have tables. The upper deck is open and... More

Very easy to use..tickets are cheap and shuttle itinerary is awsome. Perfect for spending the day at isla mujeres..they operate from the cracks of dawn to midnight.. I recommend sitting in the bottom..Their is annoying "performer" in the upper level singing the entire ride with the loudest speaker ever. Would definitely use again.

We tried an Ultramar ferry to go from Cancun to Isla Mujeres and it was very economical for round trip transportation for 5 people. The ships were clean and roomy. They had a musician entertaining on one trip. They also take an optional group photograph so that no one is missing in your pic.If you are thinking about taking an... More

This ferry runs frequently making it an easy way to get to the island and return on your own schedule. The ferry is clean and well run. Ticket sellers at the pier are bilingual so you can get any assistance you need.

I've been on some strange boats, some strange ferries and have had some strange experiences but this was professional and safe. you can sit outside or inside (it's air-conditioned inside) and a little too sunny outside, especially on the way back since you've probably been in the sun for hours. but it was quick and really nicely run you just... We used the ultramar to get to Isla mujeres. Very convenient as the port was only a 10 minute ride on local bus. Very inexpensive and fairly quick ride. They have a man playing live music although it wasn't the greatest, he picks songs everyone knows and can sing along to. Asks for tips when finished. The boat is clean... More

The Ultramar is a simple and easy way to access Isla Mujeres. Unfortunately it is about the only option to get there, with a mandated rate of about 19.00 USD per person R/T at two of their locations. The upper deck is catered for tourist, with either a local singer or DJ force feeding you their music, with the expectation... More

Well I suppose this is really the only way to travel to the island but it is economical and very efficient. They travel every half hour and take about roughly 20 minutes to get from Cancun to the Island or vice versa. There is lower level and upper level seating so you can enjoy the sun and views from up... More

Ultramar is the best option, outside of a private boat, for travel between Puerto Juarez and off coast sites. The ferry is consistently on time, clean, and is staffed by friendly, helpful employees.
